I'll stop short of predicting pro bowls like some did in the pre-draft. But of course, I think he'll be a starter, probably a good one. He was a top-10 pick, after all. Maybe it's because I'm new to this, but I'm just a little hesitant to drive the hype train.

Steelers' first six games are NE, Seattle, SF, Cincy, Ravens and Chargers.  What is your prediction of their record at the end of this run and more specifically, if you're willing, who will they beat and lose to?
Brian Batko

I'll predict 2-4, with wins at SF and Cincy, but I reserve the right to revise. Could just as easily say 4-2.

Brian,  Ed B. always maintained that he was a reporter who covered the Steelers, not a Steelers fan. Where do you stand on that?
Brian Batko

I stand in the exact same spot.

Hi Brian - which backup OL are having a good camp?
Brian Batko

Not gonna claim to be an OL connoisseur but I think Zach Banner (now slimmer) has looked good at times with the second team. He's just so massive that it's tough to get around him a lot of the time. BJ Finney and Chuks Okorafor are the ones who most often get promoted to "varsity work" though, so any conversation of the backups should probably start with them. The UDFA Fred Johnson has looked the part, too, as a big boy (6-7, 326) who plays inside.

How has Artie B. Looked in camp? Any signs of improvement? Any buzz from the coaches on him.

He can look like first-round pick Artie and no-option Artie on back-to-back plays. I asked Mike Tomlin about him Saturday and he didn't have much to say. Probably not a great sign, but I still see him being the No. 3 outside corner.

Who will have more receiving yards this year:  James Washington, DJ, or Moncrief?
Brian Batko

At this point, on Aug. 6, I'll say Donte Moncrief. But I think all three could be fairly close, especially Moncrief and Washington.

Can we really expect a contract for Hargrave?  For a player who only plays in 40% of the D snaps - it will be hard to establish fair market value for him - when compared to other team's DT who play more often, thus may be valued and paid a higher amount.

Former Steeler Steve McLendon played around the same percentage of snaps last year for the Jets and makes 2.5 million deal this offseason. That's just one reference point.

Do defensive players get taught to wrap up anymore?  Seems too many times last year they went for the big collision, the target bounced off and continued his merry way.

I don't know, but I am going to wrap up this chat. Sorry if I couldn't get to your questions, folks, but maybe you'll see it in this week's mailbag or, better yet, in our Skinny Post newsletter! Only way to find out is if you subscribe https://t.co/NfEhqKqxVX?amp=1

Heading out to practice in a jiffy, enjoy the rest of your Tuesdays.
