I'm willing to concur at this juncture but I wouldn't bet on it, either.

Brian Batko

Cameron Brake is good, but the problem is he just keeps stopping on all his routes.

How much of a difference is it reporting big leagues vs. College

Who is the biggest Steeler name that get cut?
Brian Batko
2:52
Christian Scotland-Williamson. Not only is he 6-9, 274, but that's 27 letters, if I added correctly. I'm not a math major.

Why hold on to Dobbs? because he can run and throw interceptions???  Hodges looks like he might have the goods. Trade Dobbs if we can get anything for him.
Brian Batko
2:52
No, I don't think that would be why.

Does Boswell win the kicking spot?

Yes

Could you evaluate Spencer’s receiving skills?  If they are sufficient, it may be the deciding factor as to whether he makes the team.  Thanks.

I don't think they're on par with Eli Rogers or Ryan Switzer. Maybe not even Johnny Holton. But I like the idea of keeping him as a return man and occasional gadget guy on offense. Even if you aren't using him to tote the rock, he can be a factor in that way.

Mike Tomlin bluntly said today after practice that he has not seen enough out of the TEs. Ipso facto, they'll make a move!

Have you seen discipline instilled by MT that could have a positive impact throughout the season?
Brian Batko

Sure

Brian, how do they determine who is capable of contributing on special teams?  Is it based off college experience?  Athleticism?  I ask because I really like what I've seen from Gilbert but they keep saying he doesn't contribute on special teams so Sutton Smith might get his spot.  Gilbert seems plenty athletic, fast, strong enough to contribute if he is taught a role that suits his skills, no?
Brian Batko
2:58
Yeah, I think they definitely saw that out of Gilbert and Smith when they selected them. Even said so on draft night, as I recall.

Who has a better season: Juju or AB?
Brian Batko
2:58
JuJu will finish with more fantasy points.

OK OK OK that's all the time we have for today. If it were up to me, I'd spend all eight hours of my shift chatting with you all. But occasionally, they want me to write things. Sometimes that's The Skinny Post newsletter, which I'd love for you to sign up for here https://t.co/NfEhqK8Wxn?amp=1
