Is Bush completely back in terms of his speed, physicality, etc? His stats sure indicated he played well.

Not sure. He didn't get picked on in coverage, which is good. I think you'd like to see more sideline to sideline burst, aggression, running down ball-carriers, etc. But the season is young.

With fantastic speedy downfield receivers and tight ends who can run the field, why was the Steelers offense throwing dink and dunk 2 yard and 5 yard passes all first half and then some?

Could be a lot of things. Lack of confidence in pass protection. Good coverage downfield. Ben not wanting to force a deep ball. We'll talk to Matt Canada on Thursday to get a feel for how his maiden voyage went.

Batman, Lot of good take-ways from Sunday's game but the one I like the most is the Steelers did not beat themselves. During the past 3 or 4 years "beating themselves" has occurred way too often. Yet on Sunday with rookies and new vets galore the team was almost mistake free. Hope they continue to play hard and smart. P.S. the Browns punter is an excellent example of beating one's self.

Yeah, the Chase Claypool penalty was a teachable moment. He didn't lose his mind or anything, just tried pulling a guy off the pile. They seemed to "bench" Kendrick Green for a few plays early in the second half when he was straddling the line of playing hard and playing undisciplined. And no turnovers is always a good ingredient for a winning souffle.

Brian - very enjoyable game yesterday.  The O line didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory but it seemed as the game went along they individually and collectively started to improve.  Moore held up well in pass protect and Green started to assert himself in the run game.  They will get better as the season progresses.

I was all ready to cast aspersions on the line, especially Moore, after that strip-sack on Ben in the early going. But yeah, they stepped up and made themselves a non-story, in a good way. Need more of that, and more run-blocking.

What % chance do you give Tuitt playing this season?
Brian Batko
2:51
Well, Gerry Dulac reported last week that Stephon Tuitt did need surgery on the knee that's been giving him problems. That's concerning. But it's a long season, so I'll say 97%. See, I'm not cynical. I'm optimistic!

Morning Bats,
This defense has the chance to be very special.
regarding the Offense, is Buffalo's Defense that good or is our Running game still very weak?

Good afternoon from Pittsburgh. I think the Bills D is solid. Thought they'd be able to get more pressure on the Steelers, but their pass-rush is a work in progress. That said, they didn't even have their best run-stuffer, Star Lotulelei, so I'm going with a little of both. I'll lean toward the Bills defense being that good, if only because 2.5 yards per carry (not including Claypool's jet sweep) is very, very bad.

Is the Bills line that bad or Steelers rush that good?  Between penalties, uncalled penalties and sacks the Steelers dominated the line.

I think the Steelers pass rush is that good. The Bills have everyone back from last year's line that protected well enough to lead the AFC in scoring, and most neutralized TJ Watt as part of that run last season. But yes, the Steelers made them look terrible. They'll see more good O-lines in the Browns and Chargers, and we'll see what this new-look Ravens line looks like tonight.

Did anyone find out why Green was replaced for several snaps at the start of the 2nd half?
Brian Batko
2:59
From what I could tell, he was scrapping after the whistle on the first play of the second half, then nearly connected on a late hit that might've been flagged two plays later as the Bills tried to return the nullified interception. So perhaps he needed to chill out a bit. I'm off tomorrow, but that should probably be a question for Tomlin at his presser.

Any thoughts on using Haskins in the forth and shorts?
Brian Batko

I don't think that's gonna happen.

OK friends, that's all the time we have for today. As much as I could do this all afternoon. Thanks for joining and for all the great questions. See you next week post-Raiders.
