Based on the general tone of questions today, I think most of you all would trade him for Baker Mayfield let alone a draft pick.

Hi Brian...I'm trying to look at the cup half full with Steelers current situation. The worst place to be in pro sports is the middle of the pack which is realistically where this team has been the last 5-7 years. For the Steelers to be really good again they might need to be really bad this year to be able to draft some true impact players with high draft picks in the coming draft. They have found their QB in Pickett...with that being said shouldn't the Steelers look to trade Claypool, Trubisky, Rudolph or anybody not named Pickett, Pickens, Watt or Fitzpatrick before the tradeline to stockpile as much draft stock as possible?

Probably, yeah. Certainly one of the QBs might bring you a modicum of value in return for a team with playoff aspirations in need of experience behind its starter. Claypool has enough on his NFL tape to this point and enough natural talent to intrigue another franchise. Other than that, though, not sure who would realistically entice another team to give you any sort of helpful compensation.

I am not able to see the entire field while watching the Steelers on TV.  I assume that you are at the stadiums when they play.  Do you ever see a Steeler receiver wide open and running free in the secondary like I've seen other teams have in almost all of the other games I've watched?
Brian Batko
2:56
No, but to be fair, they haven't faced their own secondary.

Do you think the Steelers will continue to stick with Harvin?  Do we have enough of a sample size?
Brian Batko
2:57
Yes, I do. His shank yesterday didn't help matters, and you'd like to see him be more consistent, but they have whole lot of other things to be more worried about.

Can I call Najee Harris a first round bust now? Or do I wait another week.
Brian Batko
2:58
Let's wait another week, or year, maybe.

Is Mr. Concrete Feet Harris hurt or is he just this bad? His only redeeming quantity is durability and he may be the biggest plodder I’ve ever seen. Time for more Warren.

Hey, Jaylen Warren played more snaps than Harris yesterday. The Steelers gave the people what they want!

Freiermuth concussed again? Should this be a major concern for the longevity of his career?
Brian Batko

Yeah, that's scary to see for any player but especially someone like him who went through it twice last season. Really hoping for the best for him.

What do the Steelers do if they end up with a top-three overall pick and CJ Stroud or Bryce Young is available?
Brian Batko

Would certainly be interesting, and obviously we don't know yet how the rest of Kenny Pickett's rookie season is gonna go, but I don't think they'd throw in the towel on that. They'd probably take the best lineman or defender available, or trade down.
OK friends, that's all the time we have for today. By far the busiest chat of the season so far, but I expected nothing less. Save some for Ray Fittipaldo tomorrow, would ya?
