Happy Sunday, everyone. This one should be fun. Browns 4-1 and Steelers trying to avoid that. I'm in the press box at Heinz Field and we'll get going right before kickoff, but feel free to leave comments and questions now.

Odell Beckham and Eric Ebron just hugged each other at midfield. Mike Tomlin and Myles Garrett also chatted a little earlier. Friendly rivalry!

Who gets the most targets at WR for the Steelers this afternoon. Ju Ju  or Chase
Brian Batko
12:29
I'll go Chase Claypool, because I still think teams are geared up to take away JuJu first. But here's a dart throw touchdown prediction: Ray-Ray McCloud finds the end zone!

When will Minkah Fitzpatrick start having the impact he showed last year ? Is it because there is tape of him in the Steelers scheme and teams are shying away from his area of the field ?
Brian Batko
12:31
For what it's worth, we usually Zoom with Minkah each week, but not this week. So of course he'll probably get his first INT today.

Browns just went into the locker room, and I don't believe there was any sort of pregame interaction between Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph, as expected. In case you were wondering.

Batko, you're the man...were you up in Cleveland this past week for that piece you wrote ? Being a transplanted season Steeler season ticket holder - I would have gladly taken you to lunch if I knew you were in town...keep it up - enjoy your work !
Brian Batko
12:37
I was, thanks. Had a nice lunch at the Winking Lizard near the stadium, where the manager was a treasure trove of Cleveland quotes and sadness.

That's not very nutritious.

JP Holtz' father was an offensive lineman at California U of PA, do you think the "Great Vulcan in the sky " will ever put him in a Steeler uniform ? If he put on 50 lbs, he'd be one hell of a guard !
Brian Batko
12:43
Would love to see my fellow Shaler Titan and former basketball teammate JP Holtz in Pittsburgh. But come on now, he's not going to bulk up and play guard. Nice versatile piece on offense though as someone who can play FB as well as TE.

Conner goes for 100+ on the ground
Brian Batko
12:53
That's bold against this Browns defense. I disagree, but I respect the prediction, Slash.
Martavius
12:53
Prediction - Vance McDonald scores a touchdown today...and...Steelers special teams score a touchdown which will be the difference in the game.
Brian Batko
12:54
Vance hasn't scored since Week 9 last year against the Colts, so, also bold!

I feel a punch return for six coming too
Brian Batko
12:55
In this of all games, we don't need any punches.

Ben Roethlisberger and *checks roster* Tavierre Thomas of the Browns take the coin toss at midfield. Browns win the toss and defer to the second half.

Today's the day to test Ben's  deep accuracy. Junk at both S positions for the Browns

Backups Andrew Sendejo and Sheldrick Redwine in for Ronnie Harrison and Karl Joseph, yes. Redwine did have a pick last week.

Hello folks....stars aligned and Steelers/Browns are on TV here.

Browns' Terrance Mitchell just dropped a gift from Ben. Should've been an interception right there.
And now Mitchell gets beat for a first-down catch on third down by James Washington. Not a good start for the corner who's been replacing Greedy Williams all season.

Nice job by Chuks Okorafor so far on Myles Garrett. He'll move around but he's been on Okorafor's side so far.

Bam, pushing it deep already!

And that's opening things up for James Conner, who has two really nifty back-to-back runs. Kinda looked a little like Leveon Bell on that stutter step in the backfield, eh?
