The biggest factor is always the QB, but I think the most likely to be canned (now or before next year) in this case is the OC. Three seasons to show his ability at this level as a college lifer and it just hasn't been good. I know, I know, maybe his personnel isn't great either, but figure it out. Fix the passing game. Find a way to cut down on these miscommunications. That's the job.

How does Warren only have 9 carries in that game? Beyond dumb.

I think there's something to be said for the change-of-pace element still being an asset that helps Warren be so effective. Easy to say he should've touched the ball on the last drive. But hindsight is 20/20.

Its time to clean house. Canada/ Tomlin brought our offense back to the early 70's. If Tomlin does not want to follow the way of the Bills - then he should finally go as well.

Bills' situation sounds mighty preferable to what the Steelers have right now, yumac.

Everyone needs to chill out. Sure, the OC  uses a high school playbook, the OL can’t block, the QB can’t throw, the receivers can’t catch, the punter shanks punts at critical times, the D can’t get off the field and the HC is running out of excuses, but other than that, it’s going great!

Kicker's been real good

“Coach, why was your best pass blocking and pass receiving RB not in the game on the last drive, let alone given the ball?”. “Coach, can you discuss the negative impact Harvin’s punts had in the 2nd half field pos battle that ultimately coast you?”. “Coach why does KP not take shots down or in the middle of the field - is that a mandate by the staff?”. Why are these direct but professional questions so hard for you guys to ask??? Instead, all we get are generic, open ended questions that skirt the actual game issues.

Mike Tomlin's postgame pressers take place at the same time the locker room is open for media to talk to players, so you don't always have a whole bunch of reporters in there, and those who are can generally see what kind of answers he's giving that day, or lack thereof. Let's see what he has to say tomorrow. Also, what do you think he's gonna say about Harvin? "Yes, they had a negative impact."

Since moving Canada down to the sidelines didn't help the passing game and benching Chuks didn't help the woeful passing game, it would seem like a more drastic move is in order.  Is benching Pickett even in the realm of possibilities as a next step, given that this team still is in the playoff mix?

I'd be surprised if Tomlin does that now. Yes, they just looked putrid and his personal arrow has been pointed down for a few games now, but they've won 2 of 3 and 4 of 6. I'm not saying those are all good, encouraging wins, but I think the overall results will make it tougher for Tomlin to make a move like that.

Hello Bats. Seriously the Steeler brass has to be dissapointed in Pickett right?

Well, I would hope so!

OK folks, tons of questions and I'm sorry I couldn't get to even a large fraction of them, but I figured that's how today would go. On the bright side, Ray Fittipaldo will be in tomorrow to continue the discussion, and Gerry Dulac on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience.
