I'll take 5. Always 5.

Hey Brian, I heard Coach T say that he liked Chase Young before the draft and during his current career.  Do you know if the Steelers attempted to obtain him before he was traded to the 49ers?  Thanks.

Not that I know of and I doubt it

I believe the failure to score a TD on the 1st drive, failure  to score from the 1 (in shotgun formation?), and the vaunted defense allowing a 99 yard drive pretty much sums it up.

Complementary football. Bad offense helped them play bad defense.

I have always liked DJ, and I think his route running skills and specifically his ability to get open are very valuable especially in this anemic offense, but last week and then this week with the cameras catching him in a big yawn on the sidelines and the tone deaf celebration make it increasingly hard.  Can veterans like Cam save him from himself?

Oh I don't think Diontae Johnson's a bad guy. But is he immature? Seems that way. Does he care more about his stats than winning? Looks that way. Was the celebration a terrible look? Absolutely. It wasn't like he just spiked the ball, did a couple dance moves or jumped in the stands. That was a rather elaborate skit, replete with George Pickens helping out. As for whether veterans can get him right, buddy, he is a veteran. He's in Year 5 and is well-compensated.

Are we the only team that would go from the shotgun on 4th and 1/2 yard? Did Tomlin address that?
Brian Batko
2:56
Probably not, but he did give a rather weak answer, saying that it's irrelevant in today's game because so many teams operate out of shotgun. Yeah, tell that to the Eagles, who start every series with first-and-9.

Looks like the Steelers will be one of eight teams who do not have a playoff win in the last 7 years.  That puts us in the bottom 25% of the league.  Is this the standard?
Brian Batko
2:59
You say that, and yet, if the playoffs started today, the Steelers would be the 5th seed. While I wouldn't like their chances at all against the current opponent, Kansas City, the Chiefs did just lose to a Packers team that, yes, lost to the Steelers just four weeks ago. And if they were to be matched up with the Ravens, how can you not throw the records out and acknowledge that strange things happen in that rivalry?

Since Week 1 Cole has been snapping to the QB's ankles, causing missed timing on plays and now a turnover.  How is this possible this late in the season - how like a RB carrying a football EVERYWHERE he isn't making shotgun snaps ALL practice till he gets it right?  Cole is always on the low end of PFF and bottom of center ratings - how is there never a change when an obvious issue is screaming for it?

Their O-line depth is improved overall, but there's not another good option at C. Nate Herbig is woefully inexperienced there, for the most part. That's a weakness going into next season, unquestionably.

Hello Bats. Is it time to at least consider moving on from Tomlin? 17 years is long time with 1 organization. Steelers have been loyal and value stability but at what point is it a detriment to the team?

I'll end with another big-picture Tomlin question. Anecdotally, I can't debate anyone who would say it feels like the organization has gotten stale. You can talk me into seeing how he approaches a pivotal new OC hire. But then if it doesn't look better next year, maybe we're blaming it more on the QB play than the coaching. So then you can talk me into seeing what he does with another shot at finding his next QB. And so on and so forth. These are weighty decisions for any organization. I'd just sum it up as it's not trending in the right direction.

Aaand that's all the time we have for today. Good stuff. Lots of chatters I didn't get to, as always, but from what I did see it appears that everyone was rather cordial and respectful despite the state of angst. You can fly off the handle tomorrow with Ray Fittipaldo.
