Hey maybe that's their ace up the sleeve for crunch time!

Hi Brian. I mentioned last week I believe Tomlin can be a really good CEO type head coach if he brings in really good coordinators. He may already have them but we'll never know because he's a micro manager. We all know he's not going anywhere unless he chooses to but is it possible Rooney finally makes him hire (especially on defense) and give his coordinators more autonomy? Or at that point will Tomlin pull a Chuck Noll and go on with his life's work?

I do agree that's the most palatable move for all involved. It'll require some compromise, some give and take, but Tomlin always says he's not resistant to change. And that he doesn't care where good ideas come from. Well, if this season ends like so many before it, that should resonate.

Hello BB! As always, thanks for the chats and info on all Steelers. Has there ever been a more Jeckyl and Hyde season and games and quarters!!! It’s a shame we don’t have consistency. It could be a different season if we do. And we could save a bunch of money on therapy!!! Nice win yesterday. Hope they can stack a couple of those and see were it takes us. Have a great week! Go Steelers!

Ha, probably. To be fair, this is the NFL. Everyone has at least two losses and at least two wins, so consistency eludes many teams in such a parity-driven league. Understand it. Remember it when you sit down to watch on Monday night, Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening. Embrace it. Or at least accept it.

Hi Brian - are Broderick Jones and Derrick Harmon really as integral as it seems from the last two games to the Steelers running game on both sides of the ball?
Brian Batko
10:54
Hi SB. Well, they are first-round picks, so they should be integral. Harmon is a large man. Jones is a much better athlete than Andrus Peat in his current state.

Good morning.  I understand DK spent the night in a Baltimore hospital.  Any update on his condition?  Thanks.
Brian Batko

No, he did not spend the night in a hospital. He went to the hospital, then spent the night in a hotel.

I certainly liked the outcome and would bow to Gene’s expertise but isn’t a “football move” taking three steps and holding the ball away from JPJ so he cannot knock the ball away?  I liked the reversal on the Rodgers reception but this one seemed wrong.

Don't think he ever got the third step, Mr. Teeth!

Brian do you forsee the Steelers resigning Gainwell to a long term deal after the season. He is such a valuable asset that we really need to keep

I could. He's been a pleasant surprise to say the least. And Arthur Smith seems to love him. Not sure what that would mean for Kaleb Johnson though.

OK folks, gotta get back on the road to Pittsburgh. Thanks as always for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your Monday and if you partake in the Monsters Inc. broadcast tonight, that makes two of us.
