Thanks Danno, you too my guy. I think they should let Will Howard start the finale in that scenario. Why not? To keep Mason Rudolph sharp in case Rodgers goes down? You know what you have in Rudolph. He's got the reps under his belt. I'd rather take a look at the rookie and let him get his feet wet for potentially competing next summer.

Merry Christmas Bats!  How excited should I get about this 3 games win streak? Will it stretch to 5?  Or even (Gasp!) 6?

Never get too high on the highs, never get too low on the lows.

I know as sports journalists you are all focused on  your job and probably don't always react like a fan. But the ending to that game was just crazy exciting and not just the final play. Detroit was on the one yard line or so with a first down and the game on the line yet failed to score! Just wondering what the press box was like at the end? Can't be stoic through all that can you? Enjoy the Holidays Brian

To be honest with you, I'm pretty stoic. That's kind of how I am in general but then on top of that, I'm trying to have my instant analysis into my editors when the clock hits zero, so I'm following the game through a different lens, particularly in the final minutes. But no doubt that finish brought about as much audible confusion and discussion among us in the press box as any I can remember.

Good morning Bats! What's scarier about this week 17 matchup? The fact that Steelers have only won once in Cleveland since 2017, or the idea that Myles Garrett could break the all-time sack record by taking down ARod?

Both I suppose. Along with them giving the Bills a game yesterday. While I'm not a huge believer in him, I do think the Shedeur Sanders trial run gives them a bit more juice than they had earlier in the year.

Impressive win yesterday for the Steelers & impressive 3 game run.  However, I can't shake the feeling the Steelers get throttled by the Bills in round 1 assuming the Steelers get there. Do you think the Steelers are legit contenders to reach the AFC championship game?  I am in the show me first camp & not buying into the Steelers feel good hypeAs always, thank you for the chats & have a Merry Christmas

I'll end the chat with this one...

Considering my prediction on the game yesterday, I absolutely have to give the Steelers a ton of credit for winning. I'd be a hypocrite not to. And the AFC doesn't seem as daunting as it once did in my mind, because I simply don't hold the Broncos and Jaguars in the same regard as I would the Chiefs and Ravens in previous years. So in that sense, the outlook is a bit sunnier for the Steelers. But when it comes to getting over the hump and winning in the postseason, I've been conditioned to believe it when I see it.

OK friends, I've gotta run. No mailbag this week with the holidays but I hope everyone has a great time with family, friends, little ones, whatever and however you celebrate. We'll do some more football Sunday in Cleveland. Thanks for chatting.
