Answering this, S Ranganathan says, "There is a misconception today. I make it clear that Jaggi Vasudev has not urged farmers to change their profession."
He adds, "Jaggi has just asked them to plant trees on the banks to absorb the flood water."

Janakarajan continues, "Even if they are planning to plant trees on the banks of river, it is not advisable. The best place to plant trees is the hills."
