More like 115-125 over five. Cespedes got 4/110 last winter when he was a year older than J-Up is right now.

Do you see. Jose Reyes returnıng to mets?
Steve Adams
8:23
I don't. And if I'm a GM I just steer entirely clear of him.
Who says yes
8:23
Stanton for Clint Frazier, estovan and lower level pitching prospect
Steve Adams
8:23
Marlins would be all over that. Yankees, again, do not want to exceed the luxury tax in 2018 though, making a Stanton acquisition an enormous long shot
Justin Upton
8:24
Cubs are a dark horse fit for me at 5/110 or so.  Thoughts??
Steve Adams
8:24
Cubs have enough outfielders as it is.
Tim Lincecum
8:25
Am I completely out of baseball now?
Steve Adams
8:25
There wasn't really any word of him actively pursuing a comeback this season.
Jake Mcgee
8:26
What kind of contract do i get; 3yr 27mil?
Steve Adams
8:27
He's frankly just not THAT good. He was a few years ago, pre-injury, but McGee was terrible in 2016 and above-average but not elite in 2017. And he's averaged something like 45 innings a season over the past three years.

He's not a bad reliever, by any means, but I wouldn't give the guy more than $15MM or so (total) over two years. I'd pay Mike Minor 3/27 before I paid it to McGee.

Where does Otani and up????
Steve Adams
8:28
The honest answer is that no one knows, and anyone who claims to have knowledge of the outcome at this point is almost certainly misleading you.

Do you know Keith law? Read his work?
Steve Adams
8:29
I've met Keith a couple of times, albeit fairly briefly. He is, near as I can tell, an extremely nice and personable guy. I do read his work -- not all of it, but when he tweets something that piques my interest, certainly.

Which position has the biggest demand this offseason and which position will have disappointed 1 year signers?
Steve Adams
8:30
Pitching -- starting and relief -- is almost always going to be in the highest demand.

Center field is an area of need this winter as well without too many great options. Bodes nicely for Lorenzo Cain.

Can we get Dee Gordon if we take on all of the contract?
Steve Adams
8:31
Would still have to kick in some degree of prospect capital. They're not just straight up giving the contract away. It's not an unreasonable price for him.
Oh and to the one-year signees things before, first basemen. So many comparable 1Bs on the market this year.
(Again)
(Oh god I'm doing it again)
(I'll stop)

Who will be the oldest active player in baseball next year?
Steve Adams
8:32
Bartolo because Bartolo will pitch forever oh god never leave us Bartolo please never leave us don't do it
8:33
Ok, I'm going to wrap up. Jeff's chatting tomorrow at 2pm CT. I'll chat again next Tuesday at 2pm CT, then Jason for a 2-3 hour mega-chat next Wednesday in his usual time slot, it seems. (Or so he promised on the Tweet machine)

You can follow me on Twitter and further harass me and/or type to me in parentheses, because apparently that's like, my gimmick now or something. I don't know where that came from, truly. Ha.
Thanks for chatting everyone!
Enjoy the game tonight!
