Van Wagenen gave zero indication that he'll sell when he spoke to the media, and every report since that time has said the Mets are looking at adding pieces. No reason to think Syndergaard gets traded.

Who is your top Tier 2 SP's?  I think Cahill, Sanchez would be good additions to a pitcher needy team.

I'd call those guys both Tier 3, but I like both as relatively high-upside veterans. Sanchez's batted-ball profile, in particular, was crazy. His average exit velocity allowed was the lowest in baseball, barreled ball rate was in the top 6 percentile of the league (lowest, that is) and he allowed less hard contact than all but a handful of pitchers ... the cutter he added was ridiculously effective

If either actually sells, it'll be the Mariners or Indians. I don't think Cleveland's going to tear anything down, but even moving one of their top assets would be pretty stunning considering they're at the top of the game's worst division without a clear competitor for the division title

Think they like his glove too much for him not to be. Could end up sharing time there with Camargo, though, if they add a high-profile 3B as a value play (e.g. Donaldson)

He didn't do his value any favors this season, and all he fetched last year was an OK middle reliever. I don't think he'd command much in return.

I do not. But Perez is the face of that franchise and I'd expect them to hang onto him even if they sell off other pieces.

I don't personally consider that logical, but that's my read on how they'd operate.

When we looked at Ryu we tried to place him with a West Coast team that had a high tolerance for risk and the money to brush things off even if he were injured for most of the deal. That describes the Dodgers to a tee. We had him there even before the QO, with our wildly hypothetical scenario allowing them to shop some more cost effective rotation pieces more easily due to Ryu's return.

Could see him being flipped for an interesting MLB-ready reliever, sure. The glove is awful wherever you put it, but take any team with some DH ABs to dish out and they should hold some interest. Twins would work. Astros, too.

I don't think Texas is going to spend on any top guys given how far buried they are in the AL West. They'll probably sign some cheap one-year guys, and I think we had them on Pomeranz or one of the final SPs for awhile, but rebuilding stock at Globe Life isn't very appealing. I imagine they'll be more active in trades.
