Sure. I remember being pretty light on Roark in a chat late in the season. I was talked up by some combination of Tim/Jeff/Connor when we were doing free-agent predictions, but yeah, I was off on him for sure at that point.

Brodie has already said he doesn't plan to move anyone and even gone so far as to say he has the best rotation depth in MLB  (speaking of hilarious and BS).

I mean, the Mets 1-5 might be as good as anyone's, but "depth" is another matter when Wacha is your sixth starter and beyond that you have a bunch of org fodder.

Sure, but it'll be some bargain 1-year signings again like last year. The moves they made last winter -- Matt Moore, Tyson Ross, Josh Harrison -- were all perfectly reasonable... they just didn't pan out.

We don't even know for sure when Healy's going to be ready after his August hip surgery. The recovery time was up to 6 months. I imagine he might get an occasional look at 3B, but he's more of a first baseman/bench bat. He also has minor league options remaining, so he could very well end up in Triple-A to begin the year with Smoak now on board as well.

It was more so undone by the fact that expecting a "dynasty" is unrealistic because winning multiple World Series in a row (or even in a span of a few years) is extraordinarily difficult, and playing in short postseason series is a crapshoot that isn't always indicative of the best overall team

Before Chen got released I thought maybe the two sides could do some kind of swap there -- Myers + prospect(s) to MIA for Chen (who'd then just be released by SD)
