I believe the Astros will be in need of a starter around the trade deadline. Who do you believe will be available, and at what cost.
Not all who Franco are lost

With the Rays rotation hanging together by a thread, albeit a very capable one, who are some starters that you think they should target by the deadline?

Lots of "which starters will be out there" questions

At this point I'd expect Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn in Chicago. Alex Cobb, Alex Wood and Anthony DeSclafani in San Francisco. Perhaps Jordan Montgomery. Perhaps Eduardo Rodriguez, but the opt-out makes it tricky. Royals might have some arms but none are ultra-appealing (Brad Keller, Jordan Lyles, Zack Greinke... and Greinke may want to stay in KC since it seems he's planning to just ride his career out there). I could see the Red Sox making Kluber and/or Pivetta available somewhat regardless of their contention status. Tigers could move Matthew Boyd or Michael Lorenzen

Does Mark Kotsay still have a job if the A’s only have 10 wins by the end of the month? My feeling is that the team needs someone like Ron Washington to run the team who has experience developing stars.

He's signed through 2024, and I can't imagine A's ownership -- of all teams -- loves the idea of paying multiple managers in a season.
Plus, the roster is an unmitigated disaster, and that's not Kotsay's fault.

Alright I've got to wrap up for the week. Thanks, as always, for chatting -- and sorry for all the questions I can't get to in these. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve if you're so inclined and always happy to take more questions there.
