When will we see adell and Marsh
Steve Adams
2:55
They're both K'ing in a third or more of their plate appearances in Triple-A. Probably when they start making more contact.

Danny Duffy is holding a press conference in less than an hour, do you think he is announcing retirement?
Steve Adams
2:56
The press conference announcement caught me off guard. I can't imagine he'd just up and retire, even if he needed TJS. But it's pretty ominous, and I can't think of many times when an injured player has asked to carve out some time to address the media.

When will we see Alek Manoah in the Majors?
Steve Adams
2:56
Sometime in June? That's just a guess, but they need arms in Toronto, he's throwing well in AAA and recently got some love from GM Ross Atkins.
2:57
Er... need arms in Dunedin. Or Buffalo. Wherever. The Blue Jays.

Will Pujols offer any value to the Dodgers? It's seemingly been several years since he was a plus offensive player.
Steve Adams
2:58
If they just limit him to a strict part-time platoon against lefties, maybe. I find the whole situation bizarre. Pujols basically saying the Angels lied about their reasons for releasing him is ... weird. I can't really imagine Joe Maddon just making up some BS excuse and attaching his name to it like that.

What are "cash considerations?" How much money are we talking about?
Steve Adams
2:59
Varies. It can be anything from literally $1 (which has happened many times) to tens of thousands. Sometimes a team just trades a guy to a team who offers a better opportunity, but the trade needs to be something, so it's a token $1, ha.

Hot take: With Seager hurt,  Trade Iglesias to the Dodgers for one of their 8 starting pitching options
Steve Adams
3:01
The depth the Dodgers have in house is probably better than Iglesias

Will there be a market for Starling Marte at the Trade Deadline?
Steve Adams
3:02
If the Marlins make him available, absolutely. The Phillies, Yankees, White Sox, Mets and plenty of others already have notable outfield deficiencies.

It'll depend on whether the Marlins are on the fringe of contending or not, but I doubt they want to risk paying him on a QO, so they'll be open to it for a decent return.

What are chances PIT moves Reynolds?
Steve Adams
3:03
Outside of Ke'Bryan Hayes, I'm not sure there's really anyone on the Pirates who is untouchable.

Hello, Players not only have their contracts guaranteed for as may years their smart agent manage to squeeze, but they are also guaranteed a roster spot, and that is very bad for the sport. Do you think owners should discuss this in next meetings? Why managers can't send down players for poor performance ? Managers should have the ability to put the best product possible on the field.
Steve Adams
3:04
Players aren't guaranteed a roster spot if they're on a guaranteed contract. They have to consent to being optioned if they have more than five years of service, but up to that point they can be sent down as long as they have minor league options remaining. Look at Scott Kingery in Philadelphia this year.

More likely to be traded, Trey Mancini or Joey Gallo?
Steve Adams
3:04
Gallo for me -- there's a more sentimental component to Mancini, and Gallo's a better defender.

Give us a preview of that top 25 trade candidates. Who are the top relievers likely to be available?
Steve Adams
3:06
Richard Rodriguez, Ian Kennedy, maybe Michael Fulmer if he keeps looking good in relief, Raisel Iglesias is possible. I don't have my full list in front of me, but Rodriguez is the most interesting one to me.

Mitch Keller for Lewis Brinson, who says no?
Steve Adams
3:07
Keller has shown more than Brinson to this point

Will Jesus Luzardo be traded? It turns out he wasn't what Oakland had expected!
Steve Adams

Based on 28 innings this year?
Think you're giving up a little too early there

Lots of pending FAs in that Giants rotation. Which ones do you think can sustain their success if they leave in the offseason?
Steve Adams
3:09
I'm very much in on Gausman being a No. 2 type of starter, and I've always been a big Alex Wood fan -- health is just always the issue with him.

What’s the deal with all these SPs that can only go twice thru a lineup?  Will we ever see the pendulum swing back to guys who can throw 8 or 9 innings?
Steve Adams
3:10
I'm sure plenty of pitchers would like to go more than twice through. It's not that they "can't," it's that teams are just increasingly cognizant of the fact that the vast majority of pitchers see a marked decline in performance facing the lineup a third time.

At this point, can DD get anything for Kingery?
Steve Adams
3:11
I don't think he'd bring back any sort of positive return that helps the club right now, no. I mean, maybe if they take a similar total guarantee back in the form of a higher-priced player on a shorter-term deal.

when does your trade list come out?
Steve Adams
3:12
Later this week, or next Monday at  the latest. Depends how much other stuff is going on this week!

Are the White Sox a real threat without Eloy and Robert?
Steve Adams
3:13
The division is pretty feeble, so they're at least a threat in the AL Central. Broadly speaking, I don't think the AL is as good as the NL this year, so they could make a decent run, sure. Especially since they'll be adding pieces at the deadline.
