They can talk up how the jerseys and campaign honor the city/franchise history and all that, but it's just a cash grab. Same as the new All-Star jerseys every year rather than having the players wear their team's uniform on the field. Same with Mother's Day merch and Memorial Day merch and everything else. The more variations of the jersey you have, the more versions there are for people to spend money on. Hooray!

Command isn't quite as sharp as in '22, but generally speaking yeah I think he'll be fine and it's mostly just a little rough patch. Stuff is still good. Grounders are up. Velo up.

I like the Reds' a bit more. Some of them have been great. Not trying to dismiss the idea by pointing out that it's an obvious cash grab; it's fun to have some different looks and I like the creativity that's gone into a lot of them.

I would expect that after so many years of injuries, setbacks, and the Yankees scrambling to fill in the rotation, that the two sides part ways this winter. Suppose it's possible he's healthy enough for a QO and accepts, but likelier scenario is a split, to me.

He just turned 21. He'll be fine. In general, we need to stop writing off prospects as soon as they don't hit the ground sprinting -- especially at such a young age. Not everyone is Acuna, Soto, etc.
