Ha! To be honest, I don't know. I think Sanders needs a lot of things around him to make it work. I didn't think the Steelers should take him for that reason. But I'll say yes. Maybe he has some sparks here and there.

Is this the year we finally get to see the vaunted run game of A.Smith?
Christopher Carter
2:02
It better be! They need this OL to mature and Kaleb Johnson seems like a very specific pick to help that come to fruition.

Cousins is washed up Steelers fans, no Cousins!

Agreed!

Hey Chris, can you evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of Sellers and Nussmeier?  Thanks.
Christopher Carter
2:03
That would be a long post. I'll say this: Sellers has all the tools to be a superstar, but he has to get better with his in-system processing. Do that, and he's your man.

For Nussmeier, I think he shares a problem with Eli Holstein. He goes for the big play too often. Take what's there.

Thx for the chats Chris.  Your patient, respectful attitude towards the questioners is much appreciated.  Have you heard anything about Roman Wilson’s development in the offseason?  What is your opinion of his skills? Can he be a valuable #3?
Christopher Carter
2:04
Just that he's healthy and ready to go. I think Roman Wilson can be a good #3 WR. Tough, quick over the middle guy. But he HAS to improve as a route runner, especially at getting off the line when being jammed. Need to see that in camp.

Maybe the Browns will trade for Cousins😂?
Christopher Carter

You know, it's crazy, but would you put it past them at this point?

Chris, even though he’s never been employed by an NFL team in any capacity or even put on a jockstrap, I think Mel Kiper is right. He does know what he’s talking about and 32 GMs don’t. The NFL has been incompetent for 50 years evaluating QBs. How they missed on should-be stars like Jimmy Clausen, Johnny Manziel, and Blaine Gabbert is… never mind, I can’t even type it with a straight face.

Don't forget Drew Locke!

Heard the Browns were bringing back Jake Plummer😜

Bring them all back!

Thought Mumpfield getting drafted by the Rams is great for him.  Rams are good at developing receivers - especially possession type receivers.  will you be following up with him on his NFL journey like you did in the pre-draft process?
Christopher Carter
2:07
Yep! Actually in talks to have an interview with him soon. Think he found a great fit and could quickly take off there.

Hi Chris.   What was your pre draft report on Yahya Black?   What do you see as his strengths and weaknesses?   Do you think he will be a contributor this season in the run defense?
Christopher Carter
2:08
Think he's a big, run stuffer who doesn't have a lot of pass rush upside. He's probably going to be a depth contributor this year and if he does his job, one that's used often.

"Also, do think Roethlisberger had 8 playoff wins under Tomlin, not 3."  I specifically said in the past 14 years.  Do the math.
Christopher Carter

Ah missed the cherrypicked cutoff. My bad!

Not sure why we'd exclude the two Super Bowl runs that probably make Roethlisberger the HOF resume he has today. Just doing the math there.

That has to be an all-time NFL record.  Getting outscored a combined 73-0 in the 1st quarter of 5 straight playoff games. Almost half  of the NFL teams make the playoffs  now.  Getting there just to get blown out in the 1st quarter is a pretty low bar.
Christopher Carter
2:12
Almost as low as not making the playoffs four times in the last five years! Except, it isn't. Whoops!

Also again, Chiefs were shutout of their first quarter and the Steelers got the first lead on them so you kind have to skip over a game. But hey, doing the math!

"Ah missed the cherrypicked cutoff. My bad!" --- Not cherry picked in the least bit. The last 14 seasons in a row.  That is not cherry picking.
Christopher Carter
2:14
I'm sorry, is there some secret 14-year threshold that we judge all coaches by? Or did you just chooose--or rather, cherrypick--that number because it conveniently lopped off the 2010 Super Bowl appearance and also didn't include the Super Bowl win season that came shortly before that as well?

Look, I get it. You want to create a frame that excludes some major successes to make your claim stronger. Just not how I operate.
2:15
Thanks everyone for the chat! Literally cleared them all out today! Might not be able to keep doing that moving forward but on the days I can, I will!
