I think that might be NFL policy. But have to be honest, I'm not sure.

Thinking about next year's needs besides the obvious QB & WR, is Guard the next biggest need with Seumalo's contract up after this season?
Christopher Carter
2:53
Yeah I really liked Tate Ratledge from Georgia and think he's going to be really good in Detroit. I do think guard is a target soon.

How could 83 and 84 make this team? Should not.
Christopher Carter

Connor Heyward's much more of a gamer than people realize. He fills a lot of roles.

Patterson ... yeah, can't argue there.

If Will Howard has weakness in his game, why is he not working out/training with a quarterback guru to studying film and improve or eliminate any of weakness.
Christopher Carter
2:54
Trust me, he is! Will Howard puts a lot of work in to get reeady and I don't think he's lunching on his NFL opportunity.

Are the OL and DL coaches on the hot seats to perform with the draft capital invested in their departments?
Christopher Carter

I think Pat Meyer might be. Karl Dunbar I think has some wiggle room to develop Harmon and Black as rookies. Dunbar's also had a pretty good track record with the DL in Heyward-Tuitt-Hargrave, etc. Meyer has to prove something soon.

Was Benton a 4-tech guy in college? And is he playing out of position as a nose tackle?
Christopher Carter
2:56
In Benton's last year at Wisconsin PFF charts him to play the most of his snaps at nose tackle. So I don't think so.

Chris was Sutton the problem in the secondary last year?
Christopher Carter
2:57
Much bigger than people realize. He was supposed to be a vital glue, and instead blew several coverages.

What’s Steely McBeam doing in this het wave to chill out?
Christopher Carter

I pray whoever has to put that costume on has AC in there. Or just doesn't go out in this heat.

Geek out on the linebackers for us please. I would love to see them star again across the line with the stouter DL's occupying blockers.
Christopher Carter

I really think this could be the most athletic group of linebackers the Steelers have had in a long time. Queen-Wilson-Holcomb all can go sideline-to-sideline and Harrison is a big physical run stuffer. If kept clean, this could be a very good unit.
Alright everyone, that's our live Qs! I'm out of questions and have to get ready to do our next North Shore Drive podcast. Guest for tomorrow is Pittburgh legend Dave Dameshek, so be sure to tune in!
