I have been curious about two of my larger holdings, EPD and MMP, which have gone nowhere in the (5+ and 3+ respectively) years I have held them.  I bought them for the dividends, which are very nice, and so I really have no complaints.  But it just seems as though two such well-run companies ought to have capital gains over time.  Of course I was also thinking the same about BEP, and then out of nowhere, wham!   Do you have any thoughts whether EPD and MMP will ever be other than 7% income, and why?

Going nowhere has actually been quite a positive achievement in the US midstream sector the past five years--with the Alerian MLP Index falling from 540 in late September 2014 to barely 200 now. I do think EPD and MMP have been unfairly lumped together over that time with the myriad midstream companies that should never have launched and are now disappearing.

I don't know when to expect a BEP-like event, where the market suddenly realizes there's value. BEP has also benefitted from renewable energy mania as I've pointed out. But I do strongly believe that when a well run company like EPD and MMP proves its resilience consistently, eventually its long suffering shareholders benefit. So yes I think you probably own the two highest quality MLPs on the planet and I think you'll be glad you did if you have the same patience you did with BEP.

would you have any interest in nokia concerning 5g status

I do look at Nokia. I don't currently track it in CUI and I do tend to prefer adopters of technology (in this case telecoms) to technology companies. There's just so much competition--even with the US government trying to shut down Huawei. Thanks for the idea.

Again, as I said earlier in the chat, I really do prefer picking your own stocks to loading up on funds that own the good, bad and ugly. And Enterprise looks cheap now.
