Who is a team you could see getting a host but end up being a 2 seed by selection time?
Kendall Rogers
8:29
Jacob -- I know it sounds insane -- but Louisville could be one of those teams. Louisville will host IMO -- but let's say they fall out of first place in the ACC standings -- I think they could be a No. 2 seed in its own regional.

Alright Kendall, Clemson wins game 1 vs. Wake tonight & Let’s say they take the series this weekend. If they (somehow) win 2 of the three series with UL, FSU, and GT (and win the duke series to end the season) are they comfortably in? Or still on the bubble
Kendall Rogers

RF -- If Clemson wins the Wake series and wins two of those three remaining series -- yes, it will be in the postseason, IMO.

NC State still has a plethora of work to do to make the postseason, but what a start to begin the weekend by Sam Highfill, tossing 6.2 shutout innings in a win over Virginia Tech. NC State's RPI is sitting at 62 -- but a lot of opportunities remain.

Do you think Landon Marceaux has pitched himself into Round 1?
Kendall Rogers
8:44
Kevin -- Unlikely. I'm a huge Landon Marceaux fan, and when I saw him against Vanderbilt, he was legitimately 90-93 with a really nasty slider at times. WTS -- he's still a standard-sized righthander. I think he'll go somewhere in the third round.

Not a great night for my Gamecocks.  Assuming they don't come back here and sit at 25-12 (11-7 SEC), what do they need to do in the next two weeks (at Ole Miss, MSU in Columbia) to secure a host spot before May 10th?
Kendall Rogers

If South Carolina can split those series, I feel very confident about its ability to host -- barring some sort of huge surprise somewhere.

Creighton has taken 9 in a row, with 5 of the last 6 being shutouts.  The Bluejays have one of the cleanest defenses in the country, fielding at a .986 clip.  Do they have any shot at an at-large?
Kendall Rogers
9:03
Jay -- The Jays absolutely have a shot to make an at-large bid. The RPI is sitting at 42 right now. With that said, all six of those games against Top 50 RPI teams will go away as the season progresses because it's highly unlikely those teams will stay in the Top 50. I would win the league just to be careful.

Is it really worth it for Vandy to let Rocker finish game with a (now) 96 pitch count going into the 9th?
Kendall Rogers

I don't really have an issue with Rocker finishing that game out. He wasn't really taxed much in that game.

All right, gang -- I'm going to get to writing for the evening. Loved all the banter back and forth and the questions ...
