Wow, what a question. I'm not ready to cross that bridge -- Langford, especially, is an insane talent, and chatting with some pro scouts who have seen him in pro ball this year, it seems like he's even better than everyone thought, and we already thought he was very special. He might prove to be the best of the four of them. But man, those are four awesome, awesome hitters.

UCSB at Irvine this weekend. Big series in the Big West.
Aaron Fitt
12:55
Yeah, really big series -- especially for the Gauchos. At No. 45 in the RPI with a 4-2 record in the Big West, I think they can put themselves on track for an at-large bid if they win that series. If not, the sledding gets considerably more difficult, I think. But I feel like those are probably the second- and third-best teams on the West Coast, behind Oregon State, and ahead of anyone else in the Pac.

So I know how much Kendall loves being asked about hosting from certain folks...especially in the Magnolia State, but how many hosts should we expect the SEC and ACC to gobble up, and is it safe to believe that Oregon State will be the only host past the Central Time Zone?
Kendall Rogers

SEC Hosts as of today: Arkansas, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida .... and you could make a strong argument for Vanderbilt or Alabama

ACC hosts as of today: Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia, Duke and Va Tech as another team to watch ...

Big Creighton-Nebraska matchup tomorrow here in Omaha. Is Creighton for real? 20-4 start. Hitting .307 as a team and averaging 9.2 runs per game. Also a solid Friday night starter. Thanks.

I think the Jays are pretty solid, but there's no doubt they've benefited from a rather easy schedule and catching a team like Stanford during a very down year. But they are improved, that's for sure. The Big East has three teams who have caught my attention -- Georgetown of all teams in 19-8, St. John's has been really good, and of course the Jays.

Is there a chance that we look back at this Tar Heels team three years from now and have the talent level/draft pedigree in conversation with the great teams of the past?

Another interesting question, FM! I think given the exciting upside of those freshman arms, you can make a case that this club has the overall talent to match some of the great UNC teams of their glory days. Boaz and DeCaro are really special freshman arms, Olin Johnson's exciting too. Pence could be a big leaguer. And then you've got Honeycutt, Cook, Stevenson, maybe Gallaher -- plenty of pro talent there.

Still think the frogs are the best team in the conference. Should be favored in every game on their schedule for the remainder of the regular season. Assuming the get healthy, what do you see their ceiling to be?
Aaron Fitt
1:01
You may prove correct -- I'm certainly not ready to write off TCU as a second-half surge candidate. Their ceiling is exactly what you said, winning all the rest of their series and making a run to Omaha. They have that kind of upside.

Do you guys feel that Florida was given a fair ranking at the beginning of the season based on their performance so far? I ask this because if say a 20th ranked Georgia (at start of season) had the same schedule and same outcome they would be unranked ortop 15 at best
Kendall Rogers

If Georgia had three series wins over ranked teams (including two Top 10 teams at the time they played them), along with a likely regional team in Miami, there's zero shot they'd be unranked and they'd be higher than 15 IMO.

How close was Georgia to being ranked?  Had a dominant win on Friday, but stumbled over the final two games in Knoxville.  They have to be right on the cusp.

Yeah we're just never going to bring a team in after a weekend series loss. If they can win a series this week, they'll likely be in.

OK gang, that's all for me today! See you next week.
