How badly did getting swept by Little Rock this weekend hurt South AL's chances of getting an at-large bid?
Kendall Rogers
1:21
USA still has some opportunities on its schedule, but I can tell you right now that a Sun Belt team is not getting in with an RPI in the 60s-70s-80s (where it is now).

Thoughts on Ryan Webb and Andrew Abbott’s pro potential? Love seeing elite relievers get stretched out a little
Aaron Fitt
1:22
Really like both of those guys. Abbott is a legit three-pitch guy with one of the best curveballs in the draft and a solid changeup, and he's held his velocity deep into games, so you could send him out as a starter in pro ball, though I still think his stuff plays up a bit more in relief and that's probably his ultimate role in the big leagues, but I do think he's a big leaguer. Webb has shown me four quality pitches, certainly a starter's repertoire and a physical frame that you could see holding up under a starter's workload, although he's had some injury issues in his career. Both feel like top-three-round candidates to me.

USM just announced Gabe Shepard the starter for tomorrow nights game against South Alabama. What do you think of Southern Miss if they can get a healthy Shepard before the post season?
Kendall Rogers
1:23
Jordan -- if USM can get Gabe right, that would be MASSIVE going into the postseason. Remember, I had USM down as my Non-Top 25 sleeper, and I still think this could be an Omaha team if Shep is right to go along with Och, Stanley, Powell, etc.

What does it take from now until sites are selected for LA Tech to host a regional?
Kendall Rogers
1:25
From where I sit, La Tech is a slam dunk to host right now, especially with no one else in the state looking host-worthy at the moment.
Jeff
1:26
It seems like college LHP is extremely deep this year. Who are some of your deep sleepers?
Aaron Fitt
1:26
Yeah, really good group for this draft! Some names that have definitely moved way up draft boards so far this spring: Rodney Boone at UCSB, Matt Mikulski at Fordham. Some mid-major names I'm high on: Joe Rock at Ohio, Evan Shawver at Cincinnati.
Lubbock

What are your thoughts on Tech both this weekend and moving forward? They weren’t at full strength and still managed to win the series.
Kendall Rogers
1:27
Lubbock -- Yeah, I still feel very good about Texas Tech, but it kind of reminds me of Arkansas II at times. The Red Raiders have way too much talent on the mound to struggle like they do at times. I think they'll be fine come postseason time, but man, head on a swivel-pitching wise in Lubbock.

Not to put the horse before the cart, but I have to ask. Is there anyone who can challenge Jace Jung for Big 12 player of the year or does he have that wrapped up pretty much? I know we still have half of conference but if he stays healthy I just don't feel like any one will touch him.
Aaron Fitt
1:27
Feels like a two-horse race between Jung and Tyler Hardman, and Jung certainly looks like the favorite to me, brings more defensive value and now has nearly twice as many homers.

Alabama, LSU, UK, Georgia — which team are you most confident in going on a run and making postseason? Least confident?
Kendall Rogers
1:27
Most Confident: Alabama
Least Confident: Kentucky

Aaron, put your helmet back on. Logan Tanner’s home run on Sunday has not yet landed, and is liable to land sometime soon at a location far from Auburn, AL
Aaron Fitt

I'm only about 6 or 7 hours up I-85 -- I'll keep an eye out for that baseball any minute now. Seriously, he's a strong man with a bazooka arm, pretty nice tool set.

Huge Big East matchup this weekend in Omaha. I like Creighton in this based on what I saw this past weekend, what are your thoughts?
Aaron Fitt
1:31
I'm all-in on UConn running away with the Big East, but the Jays are definitely pitching it and swinging it really well right now. Should be a very interesting series!

Who has been the biggest disappointment amongst prospects this spring?
Kendall Rogers
1:32
Without a doubt, Jud Fabian. There's no doubt that Fabian is still showing some power, but he's hitting .234, has a .333 OBP and has struck out 48 times this spring. If Florida is going to make a move at the end of the season, he needs to be much better.

What is your reasoning for moving Notre Dame up to 10th?  The majority of other teams in the top 25 have won as many (or more) games as ND has even played and have quite frankly looked more talented than ND.  You dropped a Oregon State team out of the top 25 that has 21 wins which is 6 more than ND.
Aaron Fitt
1:33
Remember, all but one of Notre Dame's games have come against ACC opponents, and they're 15-6! It's not like they've had a chance to pad their record against lesser opponents in nonconference play. And really, there is no comparison between Notre Dame's resumé and Oregon State's -- it's not even close. The Irish also just won a series against a talented Georgia Tech team that was ranked in the Top 25, and it also started the week by clinching another series against a Top 25 team (beating Pitt on Monday -- which the Irish weren't rewarded for in last week's rankings because the game came after the Top 25 was released).

Just out of curiosity how have you guys seen the popularity of college baseball grow in recent years from your perspective? Is it more evident to you through interactions on social media or by memberships and interactions on your site like this chat? Thanks for all you do for college baseball!
Aaron Fitt
1:36
Yeah the sport just keeps on growing, year over year. I think back to where it was 15 years ago, when it was hard to find a college game to watch on TV and there were so many fewer new ballparks -- it's insane how far the sport has come. Just look at how much money schools have invested in their facilities, and look at how much ESPN has ramped up its commitment to the sport (the advent of streaming technology has obviously been huge for college baseball also). And yes, our D1Baseball community just keeps on growing too. Thank all of you guys for supporting us on this journey! Glad to be a part of it.

Gang, that's all for me today. Catch you next week!

1:37
Hey guys. If you had to pick a team outside the top 10 right now to win the national championship who would it be?
Kendall Rogers
1:37
TCU or Florida for me. I still think Florida is vastly underachieving from a talent standpoint.
Kendall Rogers
1:38
That's all the time we have today gang -- man those were some awesome questions!
