What are the chances that ECU ends up as a top 8 seed?
Kendall Rogers
12:04
Garrett -- I feel pretty good about it right now. I think ECU will continue to control the American, and the RPI and resume are already right there. With that said, what happens in the SEC/ACC/Big 12 will certainly have some bearing down the stretch. WTS -- ECU is clearly a Top 8 national seed team for me. It has done everything it needs to do, to date.

How are Frogs looking for national seed?
Kendall Rogers
12:05
Looking pretty strong right now. RPI is in the top five, they are tied with Texas atop the league standings (and have that series at home), and they have the third-most wins vs. RPI Top 25 teams in college baseball. There's a lot to like right there.
Trey

Game 4 in Ruston yesterday was heartbreaking. Are USM's hosting chances over or still alive?
Kendall Rogers
12:09
Trey -- Probably but there is still a pathway there. USM has a Top 16 RPI right now -- and if  it took care of business in a big way the next couple of weeks, it would remain in that range. WTS -- the resume just lacks front-end series wins right now. If they could've just finished that game off yesterday, it would've been a game changer. But we will see. Not out yet. I like this team!

What will it take for Georgia Tech to get back into the top 25!
Aaron Fitt
12:10
Jackets are very close -- if we had a couple open spots this week, they probably would have gotten back in, along with Nebraska. That was a huge series win. It's been an uneven road, but heck, playing two extra weekends in the ACC created a ridiculous grind for all those teams. Give GT credit for sitting 14-10 in the league. Still a lot to like about that club.

Who is your SEC coach of the year half way through the conference season?
Kendall Rogers
12:10
It would be Tony Vitello for me. I thought Tennessee would be solid this year, but to lose Jackson Leath and still be what I view as an elite team -- really impressive to say the least. Vols better be ready to pay up.
Windywave
12:12
Is Tulane anywhere near the Top 25?  Regional consideration?  We have been all over the place this season and combined with the weird season I don't know if I should be apathetic or mildly hopeful.
Kendall Rogers
12:12
Windy -- not close to the Top 25 at the moment, but the RPI can get within range for sure. Tulane is 6-1 in the league and the RPI is almost in the 60s. At first glance, your thought is yeah that's terrible. But it still has ECU and a few others left on the schedule, plus the conference tourney. I think Tulane has a legitimate pathway at this point.

Hey guys, thanks for the amazing work. As an Arkansas fan, what #2 or #3 seed team would be the scariest to see in our regional? Thanks!
Aaron Fitt
12:14
I don't think any 2 or 3 seed would scare me if I were an Arkansas fan, but there are certainly some I'd rather not see: Southern Miss could be one of those, maybe Oklahoma State or Michigan. Teams with some quality arms.
Scott
12:15
Who is your CUSA coach of the year at this moment?
Kendall Rogers
12:15
Scott -- Lane Burroughs. Certainly, Robert Woodard and Chris Finwood are in the mix, but after everything La Tech has been through the last year or two -- and to have a year like this. Special. Lane is an absolute stud.

Big series coming up for the Gamecocks against Arkansas - who do you think will win in Columbia?
Aaron Fitt
12:15
I'm hoping to catch part of that series in Columbia, that's a fun matchup. I feel like I should know better than to pick against Arkansas until somebody actually beats them, so I don't know if I can actually pick the Gamecocks... but I have a feeling South Carolina could pull something off here. SC has the better starting pitching and they do play well at home.

12:17
How many SEC schools do you see making the NCAA tournament?
Kendall Rogers
12:17
I'm seeing nine bids right now. I see Alabama and Georgia as the likely last two bids -- with Kentucky as a potential bid as well (that would make 10). I'm sticking with 9 for now.
Dan
12:17
I'll preface this question by saying I'm fully aware that the MAAC is not anywhere near a top level conference. But Fairfield is 20-0, #1 in the RPI, 8-0 against teams ranked 26-50,  leading the nation in ERA and second in the nation in batting average. That feels like a top 25 team to me regardless of conference. Why no love for the Stags in the top 25 rankings?
Aaron Fitt
12:17
Heck, Fairfield is right there in the Top 25 discussion, and I don't think anybody saw that coming. Again, we didn't have any open spots in the Top 25 this week, but if we did the Stags would really have deserved strong consideration. Twenty in a row is really really hard! By the way, our man Eric Sorenson will be in Manhattan this weekend to see the Stags, so look forward to his coverage.

As always, thank you guys for the great CB coverage. I’m interested to hear your thoughts on Texas Tech. Despite the multitude of injuries, they are resilient and keep winning series. Expectations for them? Is this a team that can still get to Omaha?
Kendall Rogers
12:19
BK -- Yeah, Texas Tech is a team I have trouble with because on paper with all those damn injuries, you're thinking no way this is a top five team. But guess what? they just keep winning. That's just a testament to how good Tadlock is IMO. I think they can still get to Omaha -- but it's going to take everyone.

Texas has now won 13 straight but now has three straight series against OSU, TCU and TTU. How do you see the Horns faring in those 9 games and do you think they’re peaking at the wrong time?
Aaron Fitt
12:20
I don't really subscribe to the "peaking too early" line of thought -- every team has peaks and valleys over the course of a long season, and you can peak multiple times. You want to play as much good baseball as you can over the long haul, but I don't think playing great baseball in April means you can't play great baseball in June. Anyway, you're right, huge stretch coming up, and I think the Horns will hold their own against those three teams. I would bet on 5-4 or 4-5 in those games -- I suspect they'll all be very competitive series. All four teams are good.
Kyle Niblett
12:21
Florida has 3 series before host sites are determined. How far can their RPI jump up from 31 with six road games and three at home vs. #6 RPI Vandy), and how many of the nine games do they have to win to lock down hosting? (Bitter we're out of contention for a national seed).
Kendall Rogers
12:21
Kyle -- Great to see you on TV the other night. Looking great buddy. As for the Gators, I think if they win their next three series, they're hosting. That would give them a strong overall record in the Southeastern Conference, and the RPI would probably be in the 15-20 range at that point. UF controls its own destiny IMO.

Why did ole miss drop 6 spots after the series with MSU? If you watched the series it seemed ole miss was the better team even though they lost 2 games to MSU on the road. Arkansas losing a game to a  inferior A&M team at home and stays number 1.
Kendall Rogers
12:21
Ole Miss has lost three-straight series and doesn't have one of its best players in Tim Elko. It was time for the Rebels to drop more than 2-3 spots. It's a really, really solid club -- but gotta take care of biz on the weekend.
TOAST
12:22
Mississippi State gets the top 6 ranked series win and Texas played a week schedule this past week. How do you justify not rewarding a top 5 teams wit 2 wins against the top 6? Also head to head win
Aaron Fitt
12:22
I mean, Texas is riding a 13-game winning streak. Would seem kinda ridiculous to drop them in the rankings just because they had to go out of conference this weekend, considering they still had a 5-0 week.
DAWGS
12:24
How bout dem dawgs! Can you talk about how wild the 16 of last 19 over Rebs has been? I mean that would be something if that was over Southern Miss, but that level of dominance over a caliber program of OM is ridiculous
Aaron Fitt
12:24
It's funny how these high-profile rivalries all seem to run in cycles like this. South Carolina had a crazy dominant stretch over Clemson during the Gamecocks' glory years (and beyond). Florida had that crazy stretch of dominance against Miami. But you're right, Ole Miss has maintained an extremely high level during this entire run, whereas Clemson and Miami both had some dips in there. So this is really, really impressive.
JFK
12:27
Since Nebraska isn't in the current top 25, where do you see them right now? Top 30? Top 40? Just curious as to whether they have a chance at a regional.
Kendall Rogers
12:27
JFK -- Nebraska is literally team 26. We were debating taking Oklahoma State out and putting the Huskers in. As for the Huskers -- I tend to think the location/balance will likely give the most worthy Big Ten champion a host site regardless of the RPI. We'll see, though. Nebraska is in very good shape to make the NCAA tournament.

How do you guys see the pac 12 race shaping up? Also thanks for all you guys do for west coast baseball.
Aaron Fitt
12:27
I feel like we say this every week, but man what a free-for-all in the Pac. Last week I think I said I was betting on Arizona to win the league, and... I *think* I still am. But all of a sudden, here comes UCLA -- we've been waiting for the Bruins to make a run, and maybe that series against Utah will be a springboard to get them right. But of course you have to take Oregon and Stanford seriously as league title threats right now, they have both earned it with their consistent play. And Oregon State is still right there in the mix. Feels like any one of those five clubs could wind up on top. Enjoy the wild ride out there.

Is three national seeds realistic for the Big 12? Why or why not?
Aaron Fitt
12:29
Feels a bit ambitious to me, just because the bottom half of that league is really getting exposed, and I think that hurts the teams at the top. This is starting to look like a four-bid league, so it's tough to imagine three of them getting top-eight seeds. But I do think two is quite likely.
