USD fan here. Starting the season great. UCI tonight then a trip to Oregon and TCU with UCLA on the back end. What would they have to go to crack the top 25 after this part of the schedule?

Yeah, great start for the Toreros -- they are definitely on my radar, and I think taking three out of four in Eugene might well get USD into the rankings (especially if they beat UCI). But it's never easy to win a four-game series outright, splits are more likely, and that probably would keep USD outside the Top 25. Anyway -- Toreros sound awfully intriguing, another club I want to get eyes on.

Ragin Cajuns baseball takes 4 of 4 from a solid BYU slugging teams that made LA Tech look childish and all we hear in Lafayette are crickets. Louisiana Baseball is DANGEROUS

Guest -- Hah! Solid start for the Cajuns for sure. That Campbell series will be special, especially Cade Kuehler going against the Cajuns offense. Not surprised at all my dudes like Heath Hood and DeBarge are off to fast starts. Jake Hammond's start on the mound stands out to me as well. My expectations of this team have not changed since the fall.

Huge bounce back week from the Ok State pitching staff, with Ryan Bogusz and Carson Benge still set to return to pitching this year. How does this staff rank in the big 12?

I love the way the Pokes have responded since that poor pitching showing at the Globe Life tournament. I don't care who you are playing -- back to back no-hitters is impressive -- not to mention, CBU is pretty solid. That really helped keep me at ease on how I project OSU moving forward. Definite progress!

Can Boston College break out in the ACC this year?

It's all about pitching for BC -- that's a very talented offense that we figured would hit a ton this year. The question was the arms -- and so far, so good on that front. Chris Flynn, John West and Eric Schroeder have all gotten off to great starts, and Henry Leake is a talented guy who has shown promising early flashes too, it sounds like. If the pitching holds up, BC is a very intriguing sleeper -- kind of like Wazzu of the East.
