1) I do think he gets to 1,000. 2) My prediction would probably be Hobbs if they stay internal. External? I would be pretty surprised if Vitello would leave Tennessee. But again, never say never after the Schloss ordeal. Maybe Tony wins 2 or 3 more titles at Tennessee and wants a new challenge, etc etc etc. A lot of variables on any coaching search.

Is it too early to stick a fork in Oklahoma State? With Aidan Meola announcing he’s done for the season, the lack of quality starting pitching, and a lackluster back half of the lineup, they just feel like a team that can’t go far

I think it may be done to adjust expectations for Oklahoma State, and that includes me, a person who put them in my Eight for Omaha after last season, but I don't think they're done by any means. They're still one of the most talented teams in the Big 12 and that's a league with no juggernaut team right now. It seems like the Cowboys are still a postseason team, but a deep run like the fanbase is longing for does seem less likely than it did five weeks ago.
