if Arizona wins the Big 12, it will definitely have an RPI in range of hosting a regional (much like it did last year in the Pac-12). It would host, IMO.

Tim -- TBD. The thing I do really like about Arizona it has already been through the rigors of a somewhat tough schedule, so it's going to be ultra prepared when the postseason arrives. The stinker in the Tucson Regional last year should actually help Chip Hale's club this go-round.

I know UCI was just ranked for the first time this season and is on 6 game win streak, but what do you make of the Big West this year? UCSB seems to be falling apart right now after losing 5 in a roll, Hawaii is off to a good start winning 4 in a roll, Cal Poly is undefeated in conference play, and Fullerton is streaking at the moment after scoring 40 runs in a weekend sweep.

I think UCSB will be just in the long run, so the league is actually in OK shape at the top with Cal Poly and Hawaii making strides. The issue the league has, as usual, is that the bottom of the league has atrocious RPIs. That will hurt those teams as the season progresses.
