I know Miami just took 2 of 3 from NC State up in Raleigh but as a fan should I be concerned with their tournament hopes, as hitters like ADC and especially Toral and Gil have gotten off to slow starts and Federman does not look like a Friday Night and looks better suited for a set up role to Palmquist.

You hit on a few of my concerns. I'm not the slightest bit worried about Del Castillo, but Gil and Toral run hot and cold, and I do think the corner infield defense is a major flaw that must be addressed. And I love Federman as a bullpen piece but I'm not sold on him as an ACC Friday night guy. But he probably does need to remain as a starter, whether on Friday night or later in the weekend, because he has a shot to give them 4 or 5 innings and then they can patch it together with the bullpen. All of this said -- Miami has now won road series at Florida and NC State, two teams that I still believe are going to be very good, so maybe we should ease up on the nit-picking. These guys seem like they have a knack for finding ways to win, and that's hard to quantify but it really matters.

Fun year in the ACC with Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Boston College showing real talent early. With GT, Miami, and Louisville joining those 3 as the top 25 ranked ACC teams, whom would you lean to as the way-too-early frontrunner to eek out the regular season title?

In last week's pod, Roons asked KR and I to pick either Louisville or "the field" to win the ACC. Kendall picked Louisville, and I wavered but took "the field," primarily with Georgia Tech in mind. That said, I still regarded Louisville as the team to beat... but after this weekend, it feels like the Jackets have put themselves in the early catbird season. It's a 36-game schedule, and all of these teams are going to have ups and downs, but I really like GT's club.

What non-SEC team do you give the best chance to win it all?

Question 1: How far out are Georgia and Alabama in your Top 25 lists? Do you like one better than the other? What can they do better to receive votes? Or is it just a lack in SOS right now...

I like Alabama's body of work more, and the Tide has been right on the periphery of the Top 25 for the last couple weeks, but we want to make sure we see Connor Prielipp back in action. I like Georgia's club on paper but they need to prove themselves against stronger competition before I'm convinced they're a Top 25 club.

OK folks, that's all for me today. See you next week!

Guys, my Sooners just gave up 47 runs this weekend. I know it’s early but is this major cause for concern going forward? Because...yikes

Grant -- I'm a little concerned about the Sooners. I'd like to see more of guys like Carson Carter and Jaret Godman moving forward. I'm not sure what to think about Wyatt Olds. He's hard-nosed and I think he'll figure it out, but he has really struggled. Dalton Fowler needs to come out of the rotation for a bit, IMO. He clearly has some work to do both mentally and from a pitching standpoint.
