SBC get 4 in if the three in the top 25 don’t win the conf tourney?
Kendall Rogers

Yep. Would make that a four-bid league for sure. That will be one of those conferences front and center for 'stolen bid watch' entering conference tourney week.

Hey guys, barring a crazy 5-1 or 6-0 stretch against the Oregon teams, is Iowa's only chance at making the tournament by winning the Big Ten tournament?
Kendall Rogers
1:22
I think Iowa is in if it wins those series, but if it loses both of those series, I think the Hawkeyes will need to do something in the conference tournament to solidify their chances. I'm not sure they'd have to win the whole thing, but they could ill afford to struggle in Omaha.

What RPI does Oregon need to be in hosting consideration?
Kendall Rogers
1:23
I think the Ducks would be a host for me today. I don't love the fact the RPI is 24, but win those final two series against Washington and Iowa, and I'm very confident UO will be hosting on Selection Monday barring a meltdown in the conference tournament. 9-1 vs. Q1 is very loud.

Can Miami become a two seed? Also do you see Ciscar being a Friday Starter next year?
Kendall Rogers
1:28
Miami is most definitely a two seed as of today, and honestly, the Hurricanes have a chance to host as well. Hurricanes are not there yet from an RPI standpoint, but win those series against Virginia and Notre Dame to bolster the ACC record and get somewhere above 21-22, and I could definitely see the 'Canes sneaking in as a host on Selection Monday.

How close is UTSA to being in the Top 25? Being 18-3 in the AAC along with a 37-10 overall record, No. 21 RPI and clinching at least a share of the conference title, what is holding them back from the other teams in the Top 25?
Kendall Rogers
1:29
Daniel -- glad you asked this, because I think the world of Pat Hallmark as a head coach. Love what the Roadrunners have, specifically from an offensive standpoint, but what's holding them back right now is that they don't have a series win over a team that will sniff the NCAA tournament as of yet. That's just a tough rankable resume.

What do you make of the recent struggles for the LSU offense? They have looked so off as of late. And the first thing everyone wants to do is to "tip their cap" to the opposing pitcher--but up to last week vs Texas, Praeger was getting crushed. Lamkin was giving up a ton of runs too. LSU couldn't do anything on them, and Sunday they didn't exactly look like world beaters either.

I think Prager, Lamkin and Patton have gotten much better. Prager's metrics were better and his velocity was up, Lamkin has been very good at times this year and Patton is just a typical Sunday pitchability lefthander who doesn't allow much hard contact. As much as I like the overall talent in LSU's offensive lineup, there are few guys in that lineup that just scare the you know what out of me. I love Bear Jones, but he can be pitched to right now. Curiel had somewhat of a freshman-esque weekend, but he's a stud. Ethan Frey had some really good ABs. But outside of those guys, who scares you in LSU's lineup right now? Milam is a really solid overall player but he has struggled offensively in league play.

Is the SEC going to do anything over how poorly the umpiring has been? Are they even aware that their umpires are calling strikes on pitches that cross into the opposing batter's box? I'm an LSU fan and loved that 9th inning strikeout that Eyanson got, but the ball was literally in the other batter's box. It was such a terrible call at such a crucial point in the game.
Kendall Rogers

I hope the SEC does, and I hope all leagues do. You guys know me -- I don't like to bitch and moan about umpires. Those guys have a really difficult job to do. But some of those strike zones that I have seen over the past few weeks are an absolute joke (and it's usually for both teams playing the game).

How does Coastal Carolina look in terms of not only hosting a regional but potentially being a national seed?  Would they need to win their conference tournament to be considered national seed? Or does their work during the season including winning a regular season title do enough?
Kendall Rogers
1:36
I think Coastal Carolina should be in the mix for a top eight. I wouldn't have the Chants in there as of today, but I'd probably change my tune if it won the league and then also won the conference tournament. That combined with the strong NSOS and 15-7 road record would be mighty impressive to a committee. With that said, I just have a feeling this is a year where the weakness of a surprisingly bad Sun Belt hurts the Chants.

Are you willing to lock any team in as a Top 8 seed with 3 weeks still to go in regular season?
Kendall Rogers
1:38
I would lock in Texas for sure with two weekends left. I would lock in Arkansas and Florida State, I think, with one more series win.
