Losing Jordan obviously hurt, but that was in February and UCLA was hitting for a while without her, so what's going on with the Bruins offense lately?

With just three hitters above .300 in Pac-12 play, it seems as if the Bruin bats have gone cold. We wrote about the offensive shortcomings this week in the "What We Learned" piece and the numbers don't lie. I watched the Bruins in person on Friday evening and had a few takeaways. They ran themselves into a few outs with aggressive base running. Pitch selection as a whole could have been better along with timely hitting. They've got just a few weeks to get back on track. Maya Brady and Savi Pola have a combined 12 RBI and the pair are hitting just over .200 in conference play.

Should College Softball consider pushing back the start of the season to the end of March because of the cold weather in February?

This question comes up every year. I spoke with a few coaches last fall who are lobbying for a late start - all in cold weather climates. Very unlikely. Two weeks later pushes the finals into mid-June.

Just saw the new au mock draft. Is there a possibility that making team USA may keep some players from being drafted? Not exactly sure if the schedules align but just a thought.

There are plenty of current AU players on the USMNT who are playing in both AUX and AU so there should be no issues drafting players who have been selected to any of the teams this summer.
That's it for this week! Remember to get your questions in early as we are only here for an hour.
