Honestly I don't think it makes a difference. If the O's were going to sign Machado to a long-term contract, their window closed years ago.

I had asked this briefly on twitter but was wondering if you could expand on it a little bit. Why is Cespedes projected for such a low games played total over the next 3 years? Is it just that anybody on the wrong side of 30 gets knocked for that? He's been seemingly healthy his whole career.

List all the events that could cause Cespedes to miss 10 games. Or 20 games. or 30 games. Or 50 games. or 100 games. Or 130 games. There's a lot of them.
But he can *never* play more than 3 more games than he did last year in the regular season, without additional play-in games.

I'm not impressed at all with the Rockies as an organization.
They have some really good prospects, but I have little faith they'll maximize what they do with them.
