There was a twilight zone episode where someone went back in time to kill baby Hitler. Except that the parents were so upset they adopted another kid, who ended up being the real Hitler.

I want an episode in which a guy goes back in time to kill Hitler but it turns out it makes the timeline WAY worse and so he has to go back and *become* HItler. You know, do all that stuff and knowing you're going to have to put a bullet in your head at the end of it
