Honestly, I think you have to trade Myers. With Hosmer at first for no particular reason

With Hosmer at first, it's hard to get a look at all the corner guys

Then you probably see who's healthy in the spring

Oh, I think the return for Segura is fine. Segura's a solid middle infielder, but neither ZiPS or Steamer like him as much in the future and Crawford has a ton of upside.

I mean, I'd prefer Machado at third and Segura at short, but it Machado at short and Segura so sub-ideal that you'd call the whole tehing off?

Assuming the Pirates have, say, $10 million available to spend, what is the next move that makes sense? I feel like SS is their weakest spot, but the non-Machado FA shortstops aren't that much better than the Newman projection. I have a "trade for Profar (who all of a sudden is only 2 yrs from FA), use that money on something else" bug in my brain.

Hamilton's kinda surprising. He's always been this player and they've been resistant to trading him.
