Chances that Eddie Gamboa becomes a productive big league player? He was second in the International League in FIP among players throwing at least 90 innings. With an abnormal skill set (the knuckler), that sounds like a potentially mid-rotation arm.

I'd try practically any failed position player prospect with a good arm at catcher
And I'd experiment more heavily in springs at trying players at tougher defensive positions
