It was Chris Benoit. An opinion obviously formed well before 2007, of course.

More Homeruns in the next 5 years - Eloy Jiminez or Vlad Jr?
AvatarDan Szymborski

Do you use xStats (Not xFIP) but something like xBB%? A combination of Zone%, o-Swing%, and Z-Contact% (I forget the exact combo) gives a good R squared value and seems like it would be pretty stable
AvatarDan Szymborski

I do use that data in current ZiPS

Rich Hill's dodgeball curve surely would get people.
AvatarDan Szymborski
2:53
Can he do that with a dodgeball though?
I don't think you can throw Dodgeballs like in Super Dodgeball for NES.
(Sam/John/Bill FTW BTW)

Need Jarrod Dyson on your dodgeball team as a super quick guy with an underrated arm

I'm graduating this spring and am interning by an MLB team one of their scouting departments. But as I'm hoping to "rise through the ranks" and make a career out of this, I'm wondering is there a place for people in front offices who aren't excellent at computing math. Can you simply be good at interpreting/implementing numbers instead of actually calculating? Do you have any suggestions on good masters degrees that may be able to help? Sorry for the somewhat loaded question.

I think they go hand in hand. Programming skills are very useful.
There are a lot of roles in a front office.

I feel like this is the fourth or fifth season that I'm reading stories in the spring about Gausman about to have a big season. Why should we believe that THIS is the year?
AvatarDan Szymborski

His bWAR/fWAR midpoint was like 3.6 WAR in 2016, it's not l ike he's chopped liver. Chopped Liver plays left for the Braves

Wil Myer's proprietary proj system says he'll go 40/40 this year, how much would the rights to that system fetch on the open market?
AvatarDan Szymborski
2:56
Well, let's see if he does it.

How concerned are you about Dahl for this season?
AvatarDan Szymborski

I would think that would transfer over well.

Love me some Super Dodgeball. It was the first game I bought on the Wii Virtual Console. I always struggled against those Ruskies.
