I think they're both solid cards for Shaman.

People don't like Thing from Below, but even beyond hero power, which you'll be forced to use occasionally with Shaman there are totems that have generally been meta friendly - totem golem, mana tide totem, flametongue totem
I went through my shaman games in HS and I'd be able to play a 5/5 taunt on 3 or 4 a *lot*
