What if there was a Bryce Harper like prospect for the 2019 MLB draft class (by far the #1 prospect) but this player was 100% committed to becoming a free agent as soon as possible. Could they sign a 1 year contract in Japan/Korea/independent league before the draft making them ineligible? What would be the quickest route for a player with this goal? I'm sure the MLB would have a response.

Chris Paddack working out and Lauer/Strahm giving good innings and even the surprise that is Marge Vicious, is a good scenario from them because nothing is *that* crazy

If you sign Kyle Kendrick and he has a 2.00 ERA after a month, you can say "hey, that's bullshit"
