The 3 batter minimum. The universal DH. Short season. Expanded rosters. Safety issues. Handling the players who view the pandemic differently, etc. NL managers will be dealing with major strategy changes. Such a much bigger gamble bringing in a reliever now. Mistakes will be amplified. Do you think managers will have shorter leashes considering the short season?

Impossible question, but why does it always feel like fans side with ownership on everything?

Are any Fangraphs writers using this time for continuing education efforts? Maybe deep dives into new modeling techniques or languages (ZiPS is excel based, right? Would now be a good time to port it over to Python/R?)... that would be an interesting thing for readers to follow along

Here’s my weird question: Due to your haircut, chili opinions, or any other quirkiness, were you ever bullied in high school? Without knowing you, you seem like the stereotypical bullied type who grew up to be wildly more successful (prominently working in baseball!) than any of the bullies.

No, I was never bullied. Part of that is likely because I was close friends with the biggest school bully.

One summer in high school, we played a every game of an entire season of Tecmo Super Bowl against each other!

Overall, I was in the general "middle class" of high school, social-wise.

I didn't get bullied and I didn't bully others. Honestly, most people who weren't specifically my friends probably don't have any recollection of my existence.

I had an extremely non-dramatic high school experience.

I was the student that teachers would simultaneously love and hate.
