In a 16 game format, I’d assume the game would be weekly like the NFL, so one starter per team. It’d be like a quarterback. A guy like Cole could definitely get $300 million in that format

Since we're moving beyond leagues and divisions, could we have a thirty-team field with playoffs determined by regional weighting? It would be a sort of playoff electoral college.

If we fully embrace the postmodern competitive landscape in which records and team quality have little bearing on postseason prospects, what other criteria could be used to determine entry to the tournament?
