I'm currently working in analytics in the financial sector (marketing) but reworking my resume a bit and trying to look for positions in an MLB FO. I'm under 30, but no industry experience (other than hobby stuff on FG data). Is it too late for me to be accepted into the industry? Did I need to get in sooner?

It's not too late, no. You just need to do something to set yourself apart from the crowd. Build something that shows what you can do.
