If you give him the benefit of the doubt that he was clean in PIT, so up through '92, his career wRC+ to that point was 145, and he racked up +48 WAR in 4255 PAs. Mike Trout has a 170 wRC+ and +51 WAR in 3743 PAs. They'll be close in career PAs at end of season, and Trout will have almost 10 WAR on him.

Yes, because projections work by taking a player's line through the first 50 games and extrapolating.
