I would choose to be a Tortoise, with a old and patterned shell my neck as wrinkled as a scrunched up piece of paper which has been marked with old tainted mud. My legs short and stumpy but even though I cannot go fast but I’m always full of energy.

Today I choose to be a cocker spaniel, as excitable as a clown.
I smell other dogs, the waft of another spaniel stops me.
I race down the paved paths, as free as the wind.
I am so close I can almost taste the dog's soft fur on my tongue.
My tongue lolls out and I leap through the air and land the dogs paws.

My nostrils snuffling against bare, green leaves,
My eyelashes fluttering above my deep star-lit eyes,
My pointed dark eyes, the tufts on my horns up-raised,
My hooves, clamping in the crumbling soil,

We all need to stand tall sometimes, proud and happy, looking down on others in a respectful manner.
