If Bell is frustrated, he could have come to training camp and worked with his QB

Biggest matchup on Sunday you’re watching?
Ed Bouchette
2:17
Ben Roethlisberger vs. himself
Taz

Why no pass interference calls Sunday?  WRs were getting mugged, and interference at least played a role in a couple of those INTs.

I don't agree. And the one thing I don't want to see are MORE flags

Tomlin may have not 'lost' the locker room but he has 'lost' me. I have no confidence in this coaching staff whatsoever. Have they never heard of the 5-P's? Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Your thoughts Ed...

This team reached the final four last season with the same coaching staff and a bunch of injuries.

Hi Ed.  The PG had an article this AM referencing PFF ratings, where the DL graded out OK.  If that's the case, why is a great run-stopping LB in James Harrison still riding the pines?
Ed Bouchette
2:19
I don't pay attention to the PFF ratings.

Ed, what are your thoughts on the number of targets to AB84
Ed Bouchette
2:19
He caught 10 of the 19 thrown his way. Great CB play by Jax for part of it. And as Mike Tomlin said today, if you throw the ball 55 times, a lot of those are going to Antonio Brown

I’m thinking of going as Todd Haley for Halloween. Think that will get more tricks or treats?
Ed Bouchette

Stick to the ground and you should be OK

Mike Tomlin's sorry excuse for not running the ball more does not hold water. Did anyone in the media take him to task on the inaccuracy of his answer?
Ed Bouchette
2:21
It's a press conference. We're not there to take the coach to task, we're there to ask questions and get answers, even if we don't agree with his answers.

Ed, My son and I traveled to Heinz field from Charlotte this weekend. This was my first game at Heinz (spent my younger days watching many games in Three Rivers)....loved the stadium but was not impressed with the atmosphere. Is the atmosphere usually this tame or was it the game?
Ed Bouchette
2:23
I believe it was the game, but it's not the same as 3 Rivers, especially in the first decade of 3 Rivers for a lot more reasons than the Stadium.

Ed Thanks for taking questions during these tough times! You being in the locker room, do you sense there is something amiss OR should us fans just be patient?
Ed Bouchette
2:24
Well, with all the buildup for this team and all of its talent, 3-2 is not where anyone thought they'd be. However, they started 4-5 last season and wound up 11-6 and in the AFC title game. It's a long season but they do need to get their acts together.
sorry, 11-5

Do the Steelers coaches look at their next opponents' weaknesses and focus on destroying them? I.E. Jax was last vs. the run but the Steelers could not or did not run the ball effectively whatsoever. What gives Ed?
Ed Bouchette
2:26
I believe they saw the Jaguars stacked against the run and let that dictate what they were going to do instead of just going out and do what they do best. Right now, that's not throwing the ball.

Should the Steelers have put in Landry after the 4th pick or did they keep Ben in thinking the game was in reach?
Ed Bouchette
2:26
You want to pull Ben for Landry Jones? Are you a former Dolphins assistant coach?
Kimmy
2:27
Is it possible for a defense to get tight and lose rhythm from being off the field too long? Like the 3rd quarter when the ball was turned over constantly....
Ed Bouchette
2:28
Not a bad thought. Often on long drives you will see players not in the game running on the sideline. Some would take to a stationary bike to keep warm. I'm not going to say that was a problem Sunday, but who knows?

What are your odds on Vance McDonald catching a pass in 2017?
Ed Bouchette
2:28
They do not seem overly eager to throw it to him.

Why are the Steelers not running the ball more? Do you think we will run more against the chiefs?
Ed Bouchette
2:29
I would, but I'm not calling the plays.

Well, I heard Santonio Holmes was in their building today.

Offensively do you think it's time to give Justin Hunter more playing time and take more shots down field? Also, start averaging 30 to 40 carries between Bell and Conner...you agree?
Ed Bouchette
2:30
I think it's time to give Justin Hunter less playing time.

Thanks for another great chat. See you next Tuesday.
