Good afternoon, let's begin

WIth the dropped passes 2 weeks ago and now a crucial fumble do you agree with those fans who say we miss Bell more than ever or are you confident in Conner moving forward?
Ed Bouchette
2:04
Because Le'Veon Bell never dropped a pass and never fumbled?

Ed, thanks for chatting! Is the amount of flags against our special teams a direct reflection of our Special Teams coach, our Head Coach or our players just flat being undisciplined?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Someone once told me that ST coach Danny Smith goes over all kinds of details Saturday night before the game, reminding his players about avoiding penalties. I'm not sure what else they can do but get some Steve Taskers in here.

A lot of people are blaming Ben for the loss.  There is plenty of blame to go around for that loss.  What say you?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
You could blame him. You could blame Conner. You could blame the defense for not stopping the run and not creating a turnover, again. You could blame the refs. You could blame Maurkice Pouncey for blocking that nose tackle into the end zone and into the path of Ben's pass. You could even blame the Denver Broncos. Plenty of blame

Is Boswell in his own head or has something else changed with him that is not apparent to all of us?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
I'm sure he is in his own head, like the rest of us.

Ed:  How would you assess AB's play this year?  He failed to make a big sideline reception Sunday, normally a signature play.   He seems to be the target for most of the intercepted passes this year and you often wonder if he is in the right place or giving the right effort on those picks.  His run after the catch stats must be way down.  He does have 10 TDs though.
Ed Bouchette
2:08
AB does not have the number of catches or yards he has had at times in the past, but he has scored 11 touchdowns and his  12.3 yards per catch is not that far off JuJu's 13.7. JuJu, by the way, has 4 TDs
2:09
Brown also will have well over 1,000 yards receiving this season and maybe another 100 catches. If that's slowing down, they could use another one like him

Hi Ed -- I thought a penalty should have been called against the Bronco who blocked the FG.  He landed on the backside of our long snapper & he gets protection.  That "no call" was an early momentum changer to me.  What's your take on this?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
The blocked FG did not mean a hill of beans in the long scheme of things from that game.

Why is this team so inconsistent from week to week?  Some weeks it looks like we are sleep walking, some like we are world beaters?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
It's the NFL, where the Tennessee Titans beat the New England Patriots 34-10

Ed,  With Connor having a rough go of it in the past few games why don't the Steelers utilize their other backs?  I am no sold Connor is a feature back.  Had a good first half but in the clutch he has impacted three games in a negative way.
Ed Bouchette
2:11
He really only impacted two because the Steelers reboiunded to win in Jacksonville. All I can say is, they must not have much faith in their other two backs.
Steeler Joe
2:11
That last pass forced to AB in the end zone: What are the chances that Ben's mind was on AB's meaningless "games with a TD scored" streak and worried that he would be pouting if he wasn't targeted there? Is it "Blutarsky"? Or something slightly above that?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
If you read my story and others, the reason that was intercepted was Pouncey blocked the nose tackle into the path of the ball. Stuff happens.
J from Findlay
2:11
Ed, what is your biggest level of concern that our Steelers face down the stretch?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
The Chargers, Patriots and Saints.
Steeler Joe
2:12
Do you just put Washington on the shelf at this point, basically redshirt him till next year? He seems to be regressing, and that unnecessary leap was just ... ugh.
Ed Bouchette
2:12
You'll probably see even more of Ryan Switzer
clemente21
2:12
Will they pick up a TE for this weeks game? Practice squad guy?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
I doubt it.
Steeler Joe
2:12
A lot of turnovers on Sunday. But the defense isn't generating any at all the other way. Isn't that equally a problem? Or more so?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
It's been a problem for awhile

Ed: What is your opinion 11 games in of the Martavis Bryant trade now?  Washington looks like a bust.  Other top offenses are much deeper at WR than we are.  Maybe it was a good trade, but just a failure in replacing him.
Ed Bouchette
2:14
I don't know if you've checked in with what Martavis Bryant has done out in Oakland but that trade still looks brilliant. The Steelers are second in the NFL with an average of 325.2 yards passing so I'm not sure they don't have enough receivers.
clemente21
2:15
Why do you think the TB rule is dumb?  It's the same for both teams.
Ed Bouchette
2:15
Just because a rule is the same for both teams doesn't make it a good rule. I disagree with Mike Tomlin, I think it's a dumb rule and I've previously written about it.

Based on defense performances lately. Do you think we have enough to compete with the likes of the pats or chiefs? Where are our area of concerns?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
Have you seen the Chiefs defense?

Good afternoon, Ed. Tough loss on Sunday... Especially given the remaining schedule, if they were hoping for a top 2 seed. Are these Steelers ready to unleash hell in December?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
Maybe, but I'll bet you won't find Mike Tomlin predicting that again.

Hi Ed, What's with the game planning these last 3 games? Conner 13,9, and 13 carries only.
Ed Bouchette
2:18
They are 2-1 in those games and scored 52 points in the one where he had 13 carries before a concussion put him out. Running or lack thereof had nothing to do with their loss in Denver. Fumbling at the one, fumbling at the 21 of Denver, interception from the 2 had plenty to do with it.
J from Findlay
2:18
Ed, what is our weakest level of on the team? OC, DC, HC, Special Teams, or player personnel?
Ed Bouchette
2:19
Hmmm, y'all are acting today as if this team is 3-7-1 instead of 7-3-1. Maybe everyone has hurt feelings because their six-game win streak was just snapped, but let's have some perspective here.
