Maybe someone will give me an early Christmas present I can wear that day.

Do you think the Steelers are looking ahead to Hotown & the broom game? JK
Ed Bouchette

Yes, the Patriots game is known in cliche land as a "trap" game for the Steelers.

James Harrison says he wouldnt HAVE signed with the steelers had he known he would sit. WHO WOULD HAVE SIGNED Him then
Ed Bouchette
2:29
No one signed him when he "retired" several years ago until Jarvis Jones was injured and the Steelers came knocking 3 games into the season. I would expect he would not have had any other opportunity at age 39 this time either. The bare truth.

After the Pats loss to the Dolphins last night, are the Pats not so invincible now?
Ed Bouchette

It was their third loss, so I would say no.

Do you think the offense relies on reps throughout the season to get into a late season rhythm?  I've noticed byes can disrupt that rhythm.  Is that a concern?

If you mean you think they should not get a playoff bye the first week because it might disrupt their rhythm, I would send you to the corner of the room with a pointy hat on.

I think the problem with the tackling is they don't:  they'd rather lower a helmet or a shoulder and hit the runner instead of wrapping up with the arms.

Ed, with Brady throwing quick under routes, can the d-line be reminded to put their hands up?

You just did, since they all read my chats (and probably answer questions under an alias) religiously.

Thank you for another great chat. My real work now calls. See you next Tuesday. Remember only 12 more shopping days until Christmas. (When I was a kid, Sundays did not count).
