Jimmy wasn't from Pittsburgh

Ed, was the money that was allotted to the salary for L. Bell part of the Steeler's cap for this year - even though he did not play?
Ed Bouchette
2:21
Yes, but then it was reduced weekly. They will have the full $14.455 million subtracted from their cap next season as a carryover.

Are you surprised that Landry Jones is not on a roster?
Ed Bouchette
2:21
Yes, but he also may be looking for the right spot and will sign for next season.

Ed, thanks for the chat!  About Boswell:  it was reported last week that the team hired Suisham to come in and help him, as an auxiliary coach.  Do you think this was overblown, or did it make any difference?  And has he been retained, or was this just a one-week thing?
Ed Bouchette
2:22
He was there for one day and I don't think he was "hired" for that day, just invited and he accepted. I'm not sure of any effect since Boswell sent the 32-yarder way right.

Ed, in your opinion, does Art II TRULY have as much patience concerning coaching stability as Dan did?
Ed Bouchette
2:24
We'll have to wait to see because there is no reason for him not to have patience now.

Did you get a feel about Hayward playing this weekend?  I know Tomlin mentioned the hyperextension, but do they think he'll go?
Ed Bouchette
2:25
MT said he believes Heyward will play

Hi Ed - Upcoming playoff game: 4th and 2 at opp 40, down by 2, 3:00 mins left... do you trot out Boswell?
Ed Bouchette
2:26
I think Mike Tomlin would. I would have gone for it Sunday rather than kick.
Mason
2:27
Do you think it would be better to be the 4th seed and play the Chargers in the wildcard than be the 3rd seed and play the Colts who are rolling right now? Then play the Chiefs in the divisional round rather than the Texans?
Ed Bouchette
2:28
The No. 2 seed looked pretty good last season until the Jaguars upset them at Heinz Field. I don't think it matters. It's more up to how the Steelers play. If they play well, they're capable of beating anyone.

Is more running the answer to throwing less Picks? This team can't afford to not get points every opportunity they can and the pics are killers.
Ed Bouchette
2:28
So are fumbles, like the one vs. Cleveland, the one vs. Denver.

Are the Saints as good as their record?
Ed Bouchette
2:29
You want Bill Parcells' answer to that?

Hi Ed, Who was your player of the game on D last Sunday? Thanks
Ed Bouchette
2:29
Joe Haden. If it were hockey, I'd give T.J. Watt the second star

Something tells me the man who bet $11,000 against his Steelers still woke up a very happy man. Agreed?
Ed Bouchette
2:31
I don't wake up happy when I lose $11 K, no matter what the outcome of any football game.

Was Artie at fault for the TD to Hogan? I know Tomlin said no, but why because him after that if he didn't blow an assignment
Ed Bouchette

Judge Mike by his actions, not his words

Samuels looked great but what was his weird collapse after his big third down conversion?
Ed Bouchette
2:32
Not sure, but it meant he stayed in bounds to keep the clock going. Maybe that was it.

Understood on your uniform choice, but the Steeler's are 4-0 when wearing their color rush. I'm sure that was the reason Tomlin opted for them to wear them vs the Pats
Ed Bouchette
2:32
And I have no doubt that was the reason they won.
2:33
Thank you for another great chat. I won't see you next Tuesday because it's Christmas and I'm off. So Merry Christmas to all and to all a good flight (to New Orleans)
