Ed Bouchette
1:57
Good afternoon, let's begin
Phil T
1:58
Ed, JJ’s right hand under ball. No replay shows any part of ball hitting ground. Tony Corrente was ref in Jets game and took away Seferian-Jenkins catch, vs pats earlier in season. Coincidence?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
I don't blame the ref because he called it a touchdown, it was the NFL Senior VP of officiating (wonder if they have any junior VP of officiating) who overturned it.
Todd - Michigan
1:59
Any word they let NE score with a minute left?... figuring only way they would have a chance to get ball back...
Ed Bouchette
1:59
That thought crossed my mind briefly, but then I dismissed it. I don't think that is what happened.
Todd - Michigan

Tough task to cover 87.. Do you think they could have doubled him more with Mitch... or they did, and he just didn’t play it well?... NE always doubles AB, not sure we do the same.. Thanks
Ed Bouchette
2:00
They were doubling him right up until that last, winning drive
Moose

Last week I asked you what the chances were that Ryan could make it to the stadium, and you responded that I must not be paying close enough attention to the situation.  The question wasn’t as dumb as you made it out to be now was it?
Ed Bouchette
2:00
No it wasn't. I apologize
Carlos
2:01
Let's move on. Even "seeing a rematch in the AFC title", the focus now it's conquer the bye week and not play at wildcard. In this moment, can we expect two wins in a row now the pressure it's on the Steelers to avoid the wildcard game?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
You can expect them, they will be heavily favored in both, but you know we've seen bigger upsets
Justin
2:01
Ed, after letting the loss sink in over the last 2 days my biggest concern is the lack of aggressive play calling when we had the ball with 3 minutes left and a chance to run out the clock.   When will Tomlin and Haley learn that you must always keep the pedal down vs the Pats?  Always.
Ed Bouchette
2:02
The key may have  been second down. After Bell gained one yard, Ben dropped back to pass and apparently found no one open so he scrambled for 5 yards. That may have been an aggressive play call that didn't work.
Maynard from NY
2:03
Does this team have the makeup to deliver the upset in New England this year if we make it there?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
Yes, they do, doesn't mean they will.
Zach B
2:03
Ed - Jesse made a football move by twisting his body and reaching for the Goal Line. Do you feel we got CHEATED by the NFL??
Ed Bouchette
2:04
The rule is what cheats everyone, including the fans. No one from the NFL is intentionally cheating anyone. It's just a stupid rule and Mike Tomlin said today they will look at changing it.
SB or Bust

Hi, Ed, if Steelers win next two games they will have a first round bye (2nd seed at least) no matter what the rest of the AFC does?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
Correct. They would finish 13-3. If NE finishes 13-3 the Pats get the top seed based on their win over the Steelers. Jacksonville is next and Jags have 4 losses. What Steelers cannot afford to do is tie with jags, who beat them and would earn No. 2 seed

Hi Ed, Ray brought up that Alberto Riveron was involved in two other plays like James's and all involved the Patriots and also went their way....One had Braden Cooks trapping the ball and clearly the ball was moving...Seems fishy to me and he needs to answer to why on the same kind of play he went two different directions favoring the Patriots.
Ed Bouchette
2:06
You might want to read my story on that. It's been on the web site since yesterday.
Ryan
2:06
Do you feel like this could be LeVeon last few games with Steelers? He has been called upon for a tremendous workload and his request for at least 15 per year might be valid
Ed Bouchette
2:07
HIs request may be valid, he just isn't going to get it. Not from the Steelers, not from any other NFL team. It's just too much.
Mark
2:07
If haden plays against NE and covers Gronk we would have won
Ed Bouchette
2:07
If Jesse James catches the ball and hangs onto it, the Steelers would have won. I don't think Haden would have covered Gronk.
Chuck
2:07
Enough whining about Sunday. It should not have come down to the final seconds. So many other missed opportunities to go around.
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Yes, but no one "cheated" the Steelers on those, right?
HomeboyJerome
2:08
I think the Steelers did exactly what they needed to, given the last minute wins the past few weeks, and stayed toe to toe with the Patriots.  Do you see this team staying toe to toe in a potential January rematch?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Yes, I do.
Foolback
2:08
Hi Ed, will Spence continue to play in Shazier's spot, or will we see more of Matakevich?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
We saw none of Matakevich on Sunday. I can't tell you what they're going to do because they've changed it in each of the past 2 games.
Chuck
2:09
What do you see as our biggest challenge against Houston? Their defense vs our offense?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
The Steelers being in mind to play a good opponent, even if they're not a good opponent.
Mark
2:09
Shoulda woulda could kicked a field goal
Ed Bouchette
2:10
No, going for it was the right call, you just cannot throw an interception. There was 5 seconds left when that play ended, plenty of time to kick and go to OT.
Mats
2:10
Don’t you think that with the performance showed against NE our beloved Steelers could win the super bowl?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I thought they could win the Super Bowl before they played New England.
Chuck
2:10
Do you have any sense on if Haden will be back this weekend?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Gerry Dulac has reported he will play. Mike Tomlin says he wants to wait to see him in practice
Miles/hoopie
2:11
That Gronk Guy they have. He’s pretty good. He does well against the Steelers I’ve noticed. Over the years. Any thoughts?
