They may not need 17

Bortles has not thrown the ball well in his last several games.  The Jags game plan was very cautious against the Bills.  Do you expect them to be more aggressive against the Steelers?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
I do because they know the Steelers are going to score more than 3 points. I think they'll throw more than might be expected.

Who determines who is on the ballot for rookie of the year?  To not even nominate JuJu or TJ is criminal
Ed Bouchette
2:14
All rookies are on the ballot.

Considering the outstanding Jacksonville secondary, is a heavy dose of #26 rushing and receiving the best path to victory?
Ed Bouchette
2:15
That should have been the case back in October when the Jaguars came here with the worst run defense in the league.

What is your all time favorite Steelers post season play?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
James Harrison's 100-yard interception return

I love this match up for the Steelers. No overlooking the Jags and at the same time I can't help but feel the Steelers will be pumped for the rematch. Jags made a lot of comments about Ben. Do you feel he will have a bit of an edge this time around?
Ed Bouchette
2:17
More than a bit

Ed - How would you assess the ILB play since Shazier went down?
Ed Bouchette
2:17
Sean Spence is trying

Any injury's other than Brown to worry about? Team should be healthy.
Ed Bouchette
2:17
No, and I wouldn't worry about Brown

Hi Ed, your fellow Steelers PG reporter, Ray Fittipaldo thinks that the Steelers need to play their best game of the year to beat the Jags. Do you agree with his pessimism?
Ed Bouchette
2:18
No. I think they will dominate
But there's nothing wrong with them playing their best game of the year either

With the return of AB, do you think the Steelers will put together a run to remember in the playoffs?
Ed Bouchette
2:19
If they win Sunday and win in New England, it will be a run to remember. The best run, though, remains that of 2005

Ed, odds this is Ben's final home game (assuming we win it all and Tennessee loses this week)?
Ed Bouchette
2:19
I think he will return
JB

I think too much is made of the running of Bortles. Think the key is stop the Jags run, run the ball more this time and then let Ben spread the ball around. Agree? Turnovers were the key last time.

Blake Bortles is no Mike Vick. Also, name me a QB who runs and cannot pass who ever won anything.
Todd - Michigan

I feel we can beat anyone in the tournament... I do feel the Titans can cause NE problems.. Agree or No ?
Ed Bouchette
2:20
Yes to the first, no to the second

Gerry seems to think the Steelers will win this game comfortably. Ray seems to think it won't be easy. Play tiebreaker, Ed.
Ed Bouchette

I already have. I don't think the Jaguars will intercept 5 passes and return two for touchdowns. If they do that, they can win. If not, they lose

I have read the narrative of doing a better job of staying in their rush lanes but will the defense be willing to sacrifice pressure/sacks to force Bortles to beat them downfield?
Ed Bouchette
2:22
I don't think Bortles can beat them via the pass.
And he didn't do it against them the first time

Hi Ed, If Steelers have significant lead in 3rd Q vs. Jax do you pull the B's & Ju Ju?
Ed Bouchette
2:23
It depends on what you mean by significant. Remember Houston at Bills playoff?

Any truth to national report that Maurkice Pouncey is suffering from a groin injury of some significance?
Ed Bouchette
2:24
He has seemed fine to me. I just talked to him on Monday and saw no outward sign of anything. Mike Tomlin did not mention him at all today when talking about injuries.

There's talk of the Jag D improving greatly over the year...have you looked at that?  Can you comment?
Ed Bouchette

Their run defense improved when they acquired Marcell Dareus during the seaosn

Hello Ed,  who was more responsible for moving the Steelers from an organization that would trade away assets to one that was so stable?  Chuck, Art, Dan, Bill Nunn?  Could you rank them?
