Good afternoon, let's begin

The Steelers didnt pick a TE the draft, not even in day 3. Surprised? Cheers from Spain Ed!!!
Ed Bouchette

A little but you don't pick a position just to pick it if there is not the talent you want there. Perhaps they are more optimistic about Ladarius Green
Dennis N
2:00
Now that the draft is over and the Steelers didn't draft an ILB, would they consider bring one in, such as Gerald Hodges?
Ed Bouchette
2:00
I believe they are happy with what they have at ILB, despite their dalliance with Hightower earlier

Ed, Steelers fan from Pickerington, Oh who would have liked to see Jake Butt drafted when he fell. Does the lack of a TE drafted affirm that the Steelers have faith in "The Outlaw" Jesse James?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
As I mentioned before, perhaps Green too
Ron Gurley
2:01
Do you think the Steelers will play more man to man coverages because that is the only way to beat new England and make it to the SB
Ed Bouchette
2:02
I think they will do what is best for them, and if they happen to face New England in the playoffs again, come up with a better game plan this time, plus hope Bell and their receivers remain healthy

Thoughts on whether the Steelers acquire a TE (i.e. Gary Barnidge) via free agency since it wasn't addressed in the draft
Ed Bouchette
2:02
No, I don't believe they will.

Hi Ed - what do you think made Brian Allen stand out to Carnal Lake and the rest of the coaching staff? They've since cut Al-Hajj Shabazz, so they must be somewhat excited about the project..
Ed Bouchette
2:03
They mentioned that he has plenty of room to grow because he played the position just one year. Also, has good size. Shabazz was basically a special teams player, not a good corner.

Is the tight end situation as bad as people keep saying? Jesse James played well and if Green can get it together I think it will be fine.
Ed Bouchette
2:04
If they drafted a tight end who mainly was a receiver instead of the wide receiver in the second round, would that have been better? They have enough tight ends who can block and now enough receivers who can catch.

Is M Bryant on the trading block? After drafting a WR high, might be time to get what you can for him.
Ed Bouchette
2:05
I would think not.

Will the Steelers still look for a 2018 high draft quarterback pick to replace Big Ben and allow Dobbs to be the #2 guy?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
My 2018 mock draft is being prepared as we speak. Maybe they will, or maybe they won't like anyone when it's their turn to draft, or maybe this kid will develop quickly and they'll wait.

Is a "diluted urine sample" basically saying the player intentionally did something to try to pass a drug test he would have otherwise failed?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
It's a failed test, no matter the intent.

Is it just me or is the Bengals team starting to resemble The Longest Yard team?
Ed Bouchette
2:07
They have had that look for awhile.

I love what the steelers did throughout this draft....but ed realistically how many of these picks are starters by December?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
One or two possibly -- Watt and JuJu would be my candidates. Plus, the long snapper

Hello Ed, great draft coverage and some nice back round pieces from you and the PG writers. Initially, I was kind of shocked at how this draft fell out for the Steelers and the picks they made, but after a little time to read up and reconsider things, I'm actually happy with it.Was your reaction anything like my, or did it play out about the way you thought it would?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
I thought they would pick an OLB first, and they did. Thought CB next but he was third. Thought WR/TE and RB in top four rounds and they did. Did not think they'd draft a QB or LS

Ed, a lot of people seem to bash the long snapper selection. I don't understand it. Based on the guy's precision skill set, it seems a sure thing he makes the team whereas as any other positional player would be a bigger long shot. I, for one, believe Steeler Nation will praise this pick when they don't have to lament a crucial botched snap later this season or those to come. Thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I kind of made fun of it, but I do understand it.

Hi Ed...Do you think T J can be better than JJ?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
That would be asking a lot since his brother was 3-time NFL defensive player of the year. Did not research it, but I'll bet that is a first.

How much was the Smith-Schuster pick insurance for Maravis? Or is he indeed a potential replacement for Coates?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Both, I believe. He's just a good receiver they could not pass up.

Who is behind Vince Williams on the depth chart? Do you think the Steelers will look to add any depth there before the start of the season?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
They are in decent shape there with Matakevich, Fort and Steven Johnson

Who do you predict will be our opening week actives for WR and DB?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
Check with me after training camp. If all goes well, you'd have AB, Bryant, JuJu, Coates and Eli active at WR. DB, too many variables.

Is Warren, the present long snapper , that bad of a tackler that the Steelers needed to draft another long snapper-Warrens snaps were good so I guess he can't tackle punt returners anymore?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
Greg Warren did not stay around for 12 years because he's a bad tackler. I believe they just thought it might be time to get younger.

Hi Ed! Do you believe that there was any consideration in taking Reuben Foster over TJ Watt in the 1st round?
