I like Josh Dobbs just fine. Smart kid, has mobility, leader, chance to be good backup or potential starter. However, this was supposed to be the best TE draft class in last 10-15 years. TE still on board at Dobb's pick - Butt, Leggett, Kittle, Sprinkle & Saubert & Hodges. Mistake??

Hi Ed - have you been able to obtain any quality explanation from Steelers sources about why they used a draft pick on a LS? It would seem about as useful as using a 6th round pick on a water boy.

Except that water boy isn't going to affect the outcome of a field goal try or a punt. Maybe they just feel Warren is at the end and you need a good long snapper. They can find the water boys in the family.

Ed, in your estimation, now that draft has wrapped for another year, in what positions do the Steelers remain vulnerable? Did they do enough to address the defensive deficiencies that were clearly exposed in the AFC Championship game?

They still need a good cornerback, unless one of the rookies develops quickly or UFA Sensabaugh is good enough

Hey Ed, are the Steelers unsure about MB with the JuJu pick or are they wanting to take more focus off AB? The AFC tile game AB was almost invisible.

The Steelers need a reliable No. 2 to pair with Antonio Brown and slot man Eli Rogers. So far, they have not had that.

Hi, Ed. The PG used to post the conference calls with the reporters and the drafted players recorded shortly after they are picked. Does the paper still do that? I couldn't find it on the website. I used to love those recordings. Thanks!

Is the Steelers formula for winning Super Bowls beginning to need tweaking to keep up with the Patriots? Such as Free agency acquisitions, draft strategies, etc.

The Steelers picked up Mettenberger as an emergency move but don't even give him a training camp opportunity? Are we to believe that he would have gone into a game last year if needed ,and if not why pick him up?

Because Bruce Gradkowski was injured in training camp and they believed he was the best available to be No. 3 at the time. He no longer fits

Still a little confused by the selection of the QB and LS on day 3 of the draft. Wouldn't they have been better off selecting another LB and CB? With the theory the more you have the better chance you have of finding one that can contribute.
