Ed, the steelers have always had leaders in the linebacking corp. Who steps up this year? Vince, bostic, tj, bud?
Ed Bouchette
12:13
They might need all three to do it, but my money as far as becoming a leader would be Watt

Bell, Bryant, and our first and fifth for the Cleveland fourth pick and a chance to land Barkley...would u?
Ed Bouchette
12:14
Only in Madden Football.

I read reports of teams questioning the health of Vander Esch's neck. Do the Steelers have those concerns?
Ed Bouchette
12:14
If they do, they have not told me. All teams are checking him out medically.
Fredward
12:15
Do you think all the analyst's talk about Vander Esch dropping out of the first round because of medical concerns is just that: talk?
Ed Bouchette
12:15
That's all there is this time of year, talk.

Where are they now: Jermaine Stephens ? Thanks
Ed Bouchette
12:16
Probably having a white towel waived over him by Greg Lloyd

Does Harrison have a shot at the Hall of Fame? To me, he was one of the most dominant defenders in the league for a 5 year stretch, and I would argue he was the best player (regardless of position) in the league in 2008 when he won Defensive POY and the Steelers won SB 43. If Terrell Davis got in, I think Harrison has a shot.
Ed Bouchette
12:19
I believe he is worthy, but I do not think he'll make it. OLBs in the 3-4 need sacks and while he is the franchise record-holder there, his 84.5 career sacks (including 4 total with Bengals and Patriots) will not be looked on kindly by the voters.

Ed, Any chance the Steelers go back to the block style numbers? To happen, who would make this call... AR ? Thanks
Ed Bouchette
12:20
That style, in my opinion, was better, even looked tougher than the rounded numbers. Yes, that would be Art Rooney's call.

I was surprised to hear Ray F. say the Steelers could draft a OL in the 1st with an eye to Foster likely leaving next year. While possible, how is defense not the total focus for this year? They played so abysmally vs JAX that if their focus is to win the SB this year, shouldn't they be drafting mostly defense? Seems like they could use some better options at several positions.
Ed Bouchette
12:22
You can't be reaching for a defensive player if, when it's your turn, you do not have one rated nearly as high as, say, a guard. That's how you miss great players.

With Bryant basically out after this season, do you think the steelers will draft a WR early? Say 3rd or maybe even 2nd round? or do you think they'll wait with the success they have had drafting WR late in the draft. Thanks for your time
Ed Bouchette
12:22
Yes, they could draft a wide receiver in the second or third

How likely is it that the Browns screw the pooch again and don't take Barkley at 1 and he is gone at 4?  I think they should take Barkley at 1 and Chubb at 4 to bookend with Myles Garrett.  But I hope they screw up again and Barkley stay out of our division...
Ed Bouchette
12:23
The Browns need a quarterback.

Will the Steelers sign Harrison to a one day contract, so he can officially retire as he should "a Steeler?"
Ed Bouchette
12:25
Not sure I posted this question with my answer before, but he already retired as a Steeler in 2014.

I asked Gerry where he thought the draft would be held in Pittsburgh if the city every played host and he said Heinz Field. Agree? I thought Point State Park would be great a la Chicago's Millennium Park.
Ed Bouchette
12:25
If it happens, I agree with Gerry that it would be at Heinz Field.
12:26
I would not rule out a safety -- or a cornerback -- in the first round.

Ed,  Do you think the NFL will eventually do away with Kick offs?
Ed Bouchette
12:26
It appears they would like to.
